Die zweistrahlige A319 gehört zur erfolgreichen Airbus Familie

und wurde im April 1996 erstmals ausgeliefert. Die A319 ist

eine verkürzte Version der A320 und kann in der Zweiklassen-

Konfiguration mit 124 Passagieren eine Reichweite von 7.200

Kilometern erzielen, was die größte Reichweite ihrer Klasse ist.

bmi kreierte in 2003 ein völlig neues, modernes Design für

seine Flugzeugflotte und betreibt 11 Airbus A319. Im Februar

2004 wurde die erste A319 (von sieben) für Austrian Airlines

zur Auslieferung gebracht, diese erhielt als eine der ersten

Maschinen das neue Branding.

The twin-jet A319 is one of the most successful of the Airbus

family and was first delivered in April 1996. The A319 is a short-

ened version of the A320 and in the two-class configuration

with 124 passengers it has a maximum range of 7,200 km – the

longest range in its class. In 2003 bmi created a completely

new modern design for their fleet of aircraft and now operate

11 of the Airbus A319. In February 2004 the first A319 (of

seven) was delivered to Austrian Airlines as one of the first

machines received with the new branding.
