Please read theentire instruction manual before use and save it for future
reference. We reserve theright for any errors in text or images and for
making any necessary technical changes to this document. If you should
have any questions concerning technical problems please contact our
Customer Services.
Safety
• The product should only be repaired by qualified service personnel.
• The product should not be taken apart or modified.
• Do not place theproduct where it could fall into water or other type
of liquid.
• Do not expose theproduct to impact or vibrations.
• Do not short circuit theadaptor’s terminals.
• Check that theconnection’s polarity and voltage are correctly set.
• Do not connect devices that use more than 100 W.
• Disconnect theadaptor from themains when not in use.
• Make sure that theload device is turned off before connecting it to
the adaptor.
• Start thecar before plugging theadaptor into the12 V (cigarette) socket.
Caution:
• Incorrect voltage or polarity can cause damage to connected devices.
• Turn off theconnected device before connecting/disconnecting
the adaptor.
• Make sure that thevehicle is negatively (-) earthed. If it is positively (+)
earthed, thepolarity of theoutput power will be wrong.
Ask aknowledgeable person for advice if you are theleast bit unsure.
The vehicle’s power socket must have centre-positive polarity.
• Always check thepolarity with amultimeter or equivalent instrument
if you are in theleast unsure.
• NEVER connect themobile phone connectors to theconnector on
theend of thefixed cable, this could result in thephone receiving
power with too high avoltage or reversed polarity.

• Switch-mode DC voltage adaptor for use with mobile phones
and computers.
• For thecar´s 12 V outlet.
• Max. 100 W.
• Possibility to choose between 7 different output voltages from 15 V
DC to 24 V DC, stabilised output.
• Max. loads: 15 V/5 A, 16 V/5 A, 18 V/4,5 A, 19 V/4,5 A, 20 V/4,5 A,
22 V/4 A, 24 V/3,5 A. USB: 5 V/2 A.
• Supplied with 18 interchangeable connectors.
• USB port (5 V DC, 2 A).

Operating Instructions
A. Using theadaptor with alaptop computer
1. Check thepower and consumption ratings of thedevice which is to
be connected, read therating plate and theinstruction manual.
2. Set theadaptor to thecorrect voltage.
3. Find out which of theadaptor connector plugs fits your product.
4. Attach theconnector plug to thelead ( The connector is N.B.
irreversible and will only fit one way).
5. Make sure that theDC power adaptor connector plug and lead
connector are securely connected.
6. Connect thelead to thecomputer. Make sure that theload device/
computer is turned off before connecting theDC plug.
7. Plug theadaptor into thevehicle’s 12 V socket. The LED should
come on (if not, check thefuse).
8. Start your computer. If your computer does not start as normal, turn
it off immediately.
9. Always turn your computer off BEFORE connecting/disconnecting
the adaptor.
Note:
Always check thepolarity of theplug using amultimeter or similar instrument
before connecting it to theload device if you are theleast bit uncertain.
B. Using theadaptor with products
powered using aUSB connector
1. USB devices such as iPods, MP3/MP4 players, PDAs, digital
cameras and playstations can all be connected to this power
adaptor.
2. The adaptor’s USB port output is 5 V DC, check that thepower
rating of thedevice you intend to connect to theadaptor is max. 2 A.
3. Find out which of theadaptor connector plugs fits your product.
Join theDC charger connector to theadaptor’s USB lead connector
by pushing them together.
4. Plug theadaptor into thevehicle’s 12 V socket. The LED should
come on (if not, check thefuse).
5. Turn on theUSB device. Remove theUSB lead from theadaptor
when it is not being used.
C. Using theadaptor with mobile telephones,
PSPs, Sat-Navs, etc.
1. The majority of mobile phone types such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson,
Samsung, LG and Motorola can be charged using thesupplied USB lead.
2. Find out which of theconnectors fits your product (try them for size
while they are loose) and push it onto theUSB lead.
3. Connect theUSB lead between theadaptor and themobile phone, etc.
4. The LED should come on (if not, check thefuse).
5. Turn on themobile phone. Remove theUSB lead from theadaptor
when it is not being used.
Warning: NEVER connect themobile phone connectors to theconnector
on theend of thefixed cable, this could result in thephone receiving
power with too high avoltage or reversed polarity.
Care and Maintenance
Unplug theadaptor before cleaning. Use asoft, dry cloth to clean
thedevice. Never use strong detergents or solvents for cleaning.
Troubleshooting
Checking thefuse
• Twist thetop of thelighter plug anticlockwise.
• Inspect thefuse (15 A), change if necessary.
Making sure that there is power to the12 V socket
• Try another 12 V device with asimilar (cigarette lighter) plug.
• Try connecting theplug when theengine is turned on, sometimes
the 12 V socket is only live when theignition is turned on.
Disposal
Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product.
