INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL
Read all instructions carefully
The remote controls of the memo.RC series are electronic devices designed to permit
transfers of programs from and to clocks of the memo series. Thanks to the equipped
infrared interface, it is in fact possible to copy a program generated on a clock onto the
remote control and then transfer it from the remote control to others clock (or to another
remote control).
The memo.RC1 is different from the memo.RC2 in that it only has the loaded language and
Italian cities.

INSTALLATION
• Insert the batteries in the housing on the back of the
instrument:
remove the cover
insert the batteries, in respect to the polarity shows on
the instrument
secure the cover
At this point, the display segments turn on for a few seconds
and after shows the firmware version.
Then the instrument required the parameters to the correct
operating.
Setting the language (for memo.RC2 only)
• 5 languages are available:
Italian ´ ´ ´ English Spanish
French ´ German.
Select the language with and “+” “–”.
Confirm with “Ok”.
Setting the date format (for memo.RC2 only)
• It is possible to select between the dd-mm-aa and
yy-mm-dd formats.
Select the format with and “+” “–”.
Confirm with “Ok”.
Setting the date
• The parameter (year, month, day)
being changed will flash.
Select the desired value with and “+” “–”.
Press “Ok” to confirm and continue
with the next parameter
The insertion sequence is year ´ ´ month day
When the day is being entered, the display will show
a bar with the corresponding day of the week
(1´ Monday, 7 Sunday).´
DIMENSIONS
Setting the time
• The parameter (hours, minutes) being changed will flash.
Select the desired value with and “+” “–”.
Press “Ok” to confirm and continue
with the next parameter
The insertion sequence is hours ´ minutes
At this point, the display will show the date, time, day of the week
(in letters on the top row, in numbers at the bottom).
OPERATION
• COPY/PASTE mode
This mode allows to:
- transfer a program from a clock to the remote control (copy function)
- transfer the aforementioned program from the remote control to another clock (paste
function)
In this mode, the remote control acts as a transfer bridge for programs between clocks of the
same type.
Note: the copy/paste function can be used also for transferring programs between
remotes. For clarity, the communication will be discussed later between the
remote and watches series memos, speeches are similar still be made in case of
communication between remotes.
In detail, the stages that form this mode are:
COPY
- creation of a program on a clock of the memo series
- activation of the reception on the remote control
- activation of the transmission on the clock
- saving of the transferred program
PASTE
- connection to the network of the clock to be programmed
- resetting of the aforementioned clock and subsequent activation of the reception on the clock
- activation of the transmission on the remote control
- saving of the received program on the clock
Note: during the copy stage, in order to avoid interferences, only one clock must be
in transmission. During the paste stage, instead, it is possible to have more clocks
simultaneously in reception. In this way it is possible to transfer one program on
more clocks at once.
• PRE-PROGRAMMING mode (only for memo AST)
This mode allows:
- to generate a program directly on the remote control
- to transfer the aforementioned program to a clock of the seriesmemo AST
INFRARED INTERFACE
The infrared interface allows to swap programs between remote controls and clocks of the memo
series. Hereafter are described the operations for receiving and transmitting a program.
Note: the data package that is sent during a program transfer
is formed, in addition to the program itself, also from other
parameters, such as:
- holiday programs
- pin code
- time change settings
- date format
- language
- geographical coordinates (only memo AST series)
- hour correctons (only memo AST series)
- program settings (only memo DW-Y series)
Note: during the reception and transmission stages keep the remote control aimed at
the display of the clock to be programmed at a distance of about 40 cm.
RECEPTION (copy function)
To receive a program on the remote control it is necessary to:
activate reception onto the remote control
- hold the key for 3 seconds and then confirm with “Rx”

1. use the and keys to choose the desired letter“+” “–”
2. confirm with and move on to the next letter“Ok”
Repeat points 1 and 2 until all the letters have been inserted. In case of error in inserting
the name, it is possible to delete the characters inserted until that time pressing the
“ ” key. Holding the key for 3 seconds exits without saving. When the last letter “ ”
has been inserted, hold the key for 3 seconds. The display shows the name of the “Ok”
program followed by the writing and the number of the program in memory.
The remote control memory allows to memorize up to 126 programs. If the memory is full,
the attempt to insert a new program shows the writing upon the display.
In case the reception is not succesful, the remote control displays the writing
. The causes may be:
- interruption of the physical signal
- excessive distance between the remote control and the clock
- pressure of a key during reception
- time out (maximum 3 minutes)
TRANSMISSION (paste function)
To transmit a program to one or more clocks it is necessary to:
activate reception on the clock (or clocks)
- press the to reset and activate reception“R”
activate transmission on the remote control.
- hold the key for 3 seconds“Tx”
choose what program to transmit.
- press the and key to choose the program to “+” “–”
be transferred and confirm with . In order to “Ok”
facilitate the copy-paste operations, upon activation
of the transmission, the last program received by
the remote control is suggested as program to be
transferred.
wait for the transfer of the package data.
- on the remote:

- At the end the remote control display shows the

- pressure of a key during transmission
- an error linked to the time of the operations to be carried out
PROGRAMS MENU
The program menu allows to:
• display the programs saved on the remote control
• delete a single program or all together
• transfer a program from the remote control to a clock
• create a new program (only for memo AST clocks)
