Introduction
Thank you for choosing Auray.
Congratulations on your purchase of the Auray RFDT-128
Desktop Reflection Filter. This compact and sturdy reflection
filter is ideal for any broadcast, podcast, or voiceover recording
application where microphone isolation is needed.
When recording in an acoustically untreated room like a project
studio or home oce, sounds that reflect o of the walls and ceiling
can be picked up by the microphone. The high-density acoustic foam
and the perforated aluminum shield help reduce these unwanted
reflections as well as ambient room noise to create a closer and drier
sound for a cleaner voice track. For added noise protection, the base
includes a thick layer of high-density acoustic foam to decouple the
filter and microphone from any vibrations from the desk or table.
The RFDT-128 comes with standard 5/8˝-27 threaded mounts to fit
most microphones. The two-piece telescoping shaft and adjustable
bracket ensure that your microphone and filter will be placed
at the precise height and distance from the sound source.
Before using your RFDT-128 please read the following safety notices carefully
and thoroughly to ensure proper use and to help prevent damage to your
reflection filter.
