• The parking assist is NOT a substitute for safe parking practices.
• Use of controls or adjustments, or the performance or procedures
other than specified can result in hazardous radiation exposure.
• ONLY for use on Chamberlain manufactured garage door openers.

INSTALLATION
1. Open yo r garage door and park yo ehicle o tside of garage.u ur v u
2. Determine the mo nting location on the ceiling and fasten theu
parking assist sing scre and anchor (Fig re 1).u w u
3. For installation on a Chamberlain garage door opener:
Locate the quick connect terminals on yo r motor head.u
Temporarily remo e the ires for the safety re ersing sensorsv w v
(see yo r o ner’s man al for the location of the q ick connectu w u u
terminals.). The power adapter ill not be needed, discard it.w
For all other installations (power adapter required):
Locate the nearest 120 Vac po er o tlet to the parking assist(s).w u
Ro te u wires from parking assist(s) to outlet. The power adapter
is intended to be correctly oriented in a ertical or floor v
mount position.
4. Stripping the wires prior to installation:
Installing one parking assist: Separate hite/blackwhite and w
wires and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of ins lation from parking assistu
wires.
Installing two parking assists: Cut 6" (15 cm) of wires from the
end of one set of parking assist ires for se as connectionw u
w w wires. Separate hite and hite/black wires and strip 7/16"
(11 mm) of ins lation from both ends of connection u wire.
5. Connect the wires:
Installing one parking assist (Chamberlain installation): Twist
like colored ires for parking assist and safety re ersing sensorsw v
together. Insert t ires into q ick-connect holes: hite towisted w u w
w w uhite and hite/black to grey* (Fig re 2A).
Installing one parking assist (all other installations): Connect
w w w uires from parking assist to po er adapter as sho n (Fig re 2B).
Plug power adapter into 120 Vac outlet.
Installing two parking assists (Chamberlain installation):
Separate hite/black white and w wires and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of
insulation from the end of parking assist wires. Twist like colored
w vires for parking assists, safety re ersing sensors and
connection wire together. Sec ire n t. Insert connectionure ith w w u
w u w w wires into q ick-connect holes: hite to hite and hite/black to
grey* (Fig re 3A).u
Installing two parking assists (all other installations): Twist
like colored wires from parking assists and connection wires
together. Sec ire n t and attach connection ires toure ith w w u w
power adapter as shown (Figure 3B). Plug power adapter into
120 Vac outlet.
* Please refer to your garage door opener owner’s manual for
proper wire installation.
