Safety
Warning
Product description Note:
•  Thewidth adjuster (air controller) should not be used when igniting thetorch.
•  When used at high altitudes thetorch may experience problems working with theflame 
length adjuster set to maximum [ + ]. For best results it is recommended that theadjuster 
is set half way between [ + ] and [ − ].
Switching off
Theflame will extinguish when theignition button is released.
Continuous ame
Caution:
Be very careful when using thegas torch in continuous mode because theflame will stay lit 
until theswitch (2) is pushed down by hand.
Keep thetorch out of thereach of children.
Never store thetorch at temperatures above 40°C. Never leave thetorch in 
direct sunlight or in places which could reach high temperatures.
Thetorch must only be used in well-ventilated areas and well away from 
combustible materials and liquids. Caution!
•  Do not use thetorch as acigarette lighter.
•   Contains extremely flammable gas under pressure.Caution:
•  Only refill with butane gas.
•  Avoid breathing thefumes from soldering or other heating projects. Ensure that theworking 
area is well ventilated.
•  Theflame of thetorch is very hot and can burn you; make sure to protect your hands and 
face. Bear in mind that theflame can be difficult to see.
•  Hold thetorch upright, theflame could go out if thetorch is used in other positions.
•  Allow thetorch to cool completely before refuelling it.
•  Thetorch must not be modified or disassembled.
•  Do not pierce thegas cylinder and do not throw it into thefire even if it is empty.
•  Light thetorch with thenozzle pointing away from your face and hands.
•   Bear in mind that in certain situations thebutane flame is barely visible.Caution:
•  Do not use thetorch if it is damaged.
•  Only refill thetorch in awell-ventilated area, free from naked flames, sparks and other persons. 
Do not smoke whilst refilling thetorch.
•  Read theinstructions on thegas cartridge before refilling thetorch.
•  Always have afire extinguisher close by when using thetorch.
•  Never try to repair thetorch.
•  Only use thetorch in clean environments, away from combustible materials.
•  Do not aim theflame at any persons or flammable materials.
•  Allow thetorch to cool down after use. Make sure that thetorch is switched off and cool 
before putting it away for storage.
•  Store thetorch vertical.
•  Make sure that thesafety lock returns to its original position after use.
•  Keep thetorch away from grease and grime. Be careful not to drop thetorch as this may 
cause it to malfunction.
•   Theflame guard can be very hot after use.Caution:
•  In case of agas leak (smell of gas), take thetorch outside to awell-ventilated place where 
theleak can be checked.
•  Never check agas leak using anaked flame, only using aleak detection spray.
•  Never leave alighted gas torch unattended.

Getting started
Relling gas
•  Check that thefiller valve does not leak before refilling thetorch.
•  Only use ahigh quality butane.
1.  Shake thegas canister afew times to warm thefuel up.
2.  Set theflame adjuster (7) to the [ − ] position.
3.  Turn thetorch and thegas canister upside down and insert 
thenozzle of thegas canister into thefiller valve (8).
4.  Stand thetorch on its base and leave it for at least 2 minutes 
for thegas to stabilise before use.
Operating instructions
Igniting the torch
1.  Set theflame adjuster to the [ + ] position.
2.  Slide thesafety lock (6) down until it 
clicks into thebottom setting.
3.  Press theignition button (5) to light 
thegas.
•  Note: For safety reasons, theignition button cannot be pressed unless thesafety lock is off.
•   Never leave thetorch unattended after thesafety lock has been taken off.  Caution:
To put thesafety lock back on, theignition button must be depressed, thesafety lock  
will then return to its original position.
Setting the ame
1.  Hold theignition button down after ignition.
2.  Adjust thelength of theflame by sliding theadjuster towards:
 -[ + ] to increase thelength of theflame.
 -[ − ] to decrease thelength of theflame.
  For best results theflame should be 10−25mm in length. 
  If theflame is too long it will be unstable and thetorch will use more gas than necessary.
3.  Thewidth of theflame can be adjusted by sliding theair controller (4) forwards.  
If theadjuster is released it will spring back to its original position.
1.  Depress theignition button and 
slide thecontinuous flame switch (2) 
upwards.
2.  Release theignition button and 
theflame will continue to burn.
3.  Slide thecontinuous flame switch down and 
theflame will go out.
Care and maintenance
Clean theexterior of theproduct using alightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, 
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with general 
household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent 
any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste 
disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling so that thematerial can 
be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When recycling your product, take it to 
your local collection facility or contact theplace of purchase. They will ensure 
that theproduct is disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
