Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency band can
reduce thetransmissionrange.
• Therange of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles
located between thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall
will interfere with thesignal more than aplasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try thefollowing:
• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check whether
this is thecause of theproblem.
• Reposition thewireless equipment, shorten thedistance between
thetransmitter and thereceiver or reduce thenumber of obstacles
(walls, furniture,etc.) betweenthem.
Installation
Note: Thismotion sensor is designed for indoor useonly.
• Themotion sensor should be installed at least 1.2m above groundlevel.
• Do not install themotion sensor where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
• Do not install themotion sensor in front of awindow, any kind of
fan or air conditioningunit.
• Do not install themotion sensor over or close to any type of heat source.
Operating instructions
Connection
Follow theprocedures below for pairing:
1. Make sure that thereceiver that you are going to use themotion
sensor with is ready to be paired (refer to theuser manual of
thereceiver).
2. Hold in [ Learn ] on themotion sensor for 1 second. Themotion
sensor will now pair with thereceiver.
Operating modes:
Themotion sensor has three operatingmodes:
• 24hr/10S: Whenaperson enters thedetection zone, themotion
sensor sends anon-signal to thereceiver. Whentheperson
leaves thedetection zone there is adelay of 10 seconds
before themotion sensor sends anoff-signal to thereceiver.
Iffurther motion is detected inside thedetection zone within
the10seconds, anew on-signal will be sent to thereceiver.
• 24hr/1M: Whenaperson enters thedetection zone, themotion
sensor sends anon-signal to thereceiver. Whentheperson leaves
thedetection zone there is adelay of 1 minute before themotion
sensor sends anoff-signal to thereceiver. Iffurther motion is
detected inside thedetection zone within the1 minute, anew
on-signal will be sent to thereceiver.
• 30S: Nightmode, on-signals are not sent during daylight.
Whenaperson enters thedetection zone in thedark, themotion
sensor sends anon-signal to thereceiver. Whentheperson
leaves thedetection zone there is adelay of 30 seconds
before themotion sensor sends anoff-signal to thereceiver.
Iffurther motion is detected inside thedetection zone within
the30seconds, anew on-signal will be sent to thereceiver.
Deleting the motion sensor from a receiver
It is not possible to delete (unpair) only themotion sensor from
areceiver. Inorder to delete themotion sensor from areceiver,
all thetransmitters paired with thereceiver must be deleted.
Readtheinstruction manual of thereceiver in question.
Care and maintenance
• Clean theproduct by wiping it with adampcloth. Useonly mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Remove thebattery and store themotion sensor out of reach of
children if it is not to be used for alongtime.
Changing the battery
1. Remove thecover of thebattery compartment from theback of
themotion sensor.
2. Insert anew battery (1×CR2450). Insert thebattery with the (+)
facing upwards.
3. Refit thebatterycover.
Troubleshooting guide
Themotion
sensor does
notwork.
• Check thebattery and replace it if necessary.
• Is themotion sensor paired with thereceiver as
describedabove? Trypairing themagain.
• Check that thedevice (e.g. light) which is
connected to thereceiver is switched on and
not faulty.
• Is themotion sensor too far from thereceiver?
• Is thesignal being blocked by furniture or
furnishings?
Responsible disposal
1. Remove theback of themotion
sensor.
2. Fix theback of themotion sensor in
thedesiredplace. Usetheincluded
screws and plugs or another
appropriate fastening method. Before
drilling mounting holes into thewall,
make sure that it is free from hidden
electrical wiring and waterpipes.
Remove theplastic tab to activate
thebattery. Oncethebattery Note:
has been activated it takes about
20seconds for themotion sensor to
fully activate.
