This battery charger is intended to be used only with the FUJIFILM
NP-45/45A/45S Rechargeable Battery (referred to hereafter as the
âspecial batteryâ). Installing a rechargeable battery other than the
special battery could cause a fault.

When the battery is fully charged, pull the power plug

Remove the battery from the charger when the charger
is not being used. Leaving the battery in the charger
could result in leakage of fluid from the battery, fire,
injury or staining of the surrounding area. If fluid does
leak, carefully wipe off any fluid in the charger and load
a new battery. If any of the liquid comes into contact
with your skin, wash it off thoroughly with water.

When cleaning the unit, pull the power plug from the
outlet for safety. Otherwise, it may cause electrical

NOTES ON USING THE BC-45C BATTERY
CHARGER
â
When usin g th e BC-45C Batter y Char ger to charge a special batter y, we
recommend a temperature between 10°C and 35°C. If the temperature is outside
this range, th e charg ing tim e may nee d to be longer in order to prevent the
performance of the special battery from deteriorating.
â
It is not unusual for the special battery and BC-45C to become warm due to internal
power consumption. Please try to provide good ventilation when charging.
â
During charging you may hear the sound of internal oscillation but this is not a fault.
â
Do not use the BC-45C to charge any battery other than a special battery.
â
During charging the BC-45C may cause interference with radio broadcasts from a
nearby radio. If this occurs, move the radio away from the BC-45C.
â
Take care not to allow other metal objects to come in contact with the connectors or
contacts on the special battery otherwise this may cause a short circuit.
â
Do not place the battery charger in the following locations:

In hot places such as close to a heating appliance or in direct sunlight/ In very
humid places/In very dusty places/In places subject to strong vibrations
â
For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the
proper configuration for the power outlet.
USING THE BC-45C BATTERY CHARGER
1. Attach the plug adapter. Attach the plug adapter as shown at right, making sure that
it is fully inserted and clicks into place on the charger terminals.
2. Fit the NP-45/45A/45S Rechargeable Battery into the BC-45C Battery Charger.
Insert the battery in the orientation indicated by the labels.DFC
3. Plug the charger in.
