T498 (manufactured after November1993),

T410, T4398, T4098

SECURITY FEATURES

Locking Cover, Figure 1

Remove coverbyswinging

upfromthe bottom.

Insert TinnermanSpeed Nut

suppliedinto slotat upper and

lower rearof thermostat base.

Drive AllenscrewsintoSpeedNuts

untilhead isflush with lower edge

of Thermostat base.

Re-install coverandlock by backing

out Allenscrewsuntilscrewbody

protrudes throughcover hole.

To unlockcover,driveAllen screws

intothermostatbase until screws

body clears cover.

Set thermostatto desired set point

Remove cover.

Install plasticdowels suppliedinto

minimum and/ormaximum range

stop holes on insideback ofcover.

Re-install cover.Check operation

of range stops.
