1990 vehicles and older:
Audis and Volkswagens do not have a switched 12 volts source for the receiver. You can connect to a 12 volts switch source either of these ways:
1. Connect both the switched 12 volts and constant 12 volts of the receiver to the yellow wire on the adaptor. Note: Using this method will
require that the receiver is turned off manually. Otherwise, the receiver will remain on and can drain the battery.
2. Connect to a 12 volts switched source in the vehicle fuse panel.
1994-'98 Saab 900
1995-'98 Saab 9000
2001-'03 Mercedes ML320
1997-'02 Porsche Boxster
2002-'03 Land Rover Freelander
The yellow and red wires of this harness must be reversed for these vehicles. Yellow connects to ignition. Red connects to 12V constant
power.
Pre-1996 vehicles:
Your vehicle may use an amplified (non-motorized) antenna. Even though your antenna does not automatically retract, the blue wire of
the Crutchfield harness must be connected to the power antenna wire of the new receiver.
