Before You Start

A. Prepare for the installation.

• If possible, install the WRI-P while you are installing the new head unit.

• Plan a general installation location for both the WRI-P infrared eye and the control body.

• If you are installing the WRI-P in conjunction with a SWI-PS, please refer to the SWI-PS instructions for all wiring

and programming information.

Installation Instructions

Compatible with Pioneer in-dash

navigation units that lack an IR receiver

but have a wired remote input.

Wiring Connections

Step 1.

Connect the BLACK

wire to ground (-).

Verication: Wire

or location registers

a constant (-) when

probed.

Step 2.

Connect the RED wire

to switched +12V.

Verication: Wire reg-

isters +12V when the

ignition key is turned

to the ACC or ON posi-

tions.
