Contact Heat Resistance: Contact temperature 100°C Level 1
The performance level is related to the temperature the glove can be in contact with before it transfers heat
to the wearer in less than 15secs.
Convective Heat Resistance: Heat transfer index ≥10 seconds Level 3
The heat transfer index is the time taken for heat applied to the outside to reach the inside of the glove.
Resistance to Small Splashes of Molten Metal:

The level corresponds to the amount of small molten metal droplets required to raise the temperature
inside the glove by 40°C.
Note: The protection and performance levels specied are only valid for new gloves.
Intended Use
Heavy duty welders’ gauntlets for use during welding tasks. This product is classed as Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) and complies with standards BS EN 12477:2001 and
EN ISO 21420:2020.
WARNING: Do not wear these gloves when there is a risk of entanglement by moving parts
of machines.
WARNING: When gloves are intended for arc welding: these gloves do not provide
protection against electric shock caused by defective equipment or live working, and the
electrical resistance is reduced if gloves are wet, dirty or soaked with sweat, this could increase
the risk.
Note: There is no standardized test for detecting UV penetration of glove material. However,
the current construction of welding gloves means that such articles do not normally allow UV
radiation to pass through them to the user.
Maintenance
WARNING: Before use, inspect the gloves for any defect or imperfections. Do not use
damaged or defective gloves.
General inspection
• Thoroughly inspect new and used gloves before use.
• Do not repair. If damaged, replace both gloves.
Cleaning
• These gloves should not be laundered or washed.
• Light cleaning of the glove can be carried out with a damp cloth.
• Thoroughly dry the glove before use.
Storage
• Store gloves in the original packaging at room temperature in a clean, dry, secure location
away from chemical and mechanical hazards. Do not store in an area where the gloves may be
subject to long-term UV exposure.
• Appropriate storage ensures that the glove materials will not be as signicantly affected by age.
