When connected to a non-supported printer, the display shows you the following message.
“Connect Supported STAR Printer”

接続方法 / How to Connect
USB ケーブルを対応プリンターもしくは PC の USB ポートに接続します。
正常に接続された場合は、バックライトが点灯します。 ※文字等は表示されません。
Connect the USB Cable to a USB port of supported printer or PC.
The LCD backlight will be turned on if the connection is successful. *Only backlight, and nothing is displayed.
