build-upbytouchingalargegroundedmetalsurface(suchasthe

computercase)forseveralseconds.AlsobecarefultohandlethePCI

Expresscardbyitsedgesandnotthegoldconnectors.

1. Makesurethatyoursystemisunpoweredandunpluggedand

youaregrounded.

2. Removethecoverofyoursystem(refertocomputersystem

documentation,ifnecessary)sothatthePCIExpressexpansion

slotopeningsonthemotherboardareaccessible.

3. AlignthePCIExpressconnectorontherisercardwithanavailable

PCIExpressslot.

4. Gentlyinsertthecardintotheemptyslot,makingsureitisseated

rmly.Fastenthecardtotherisercardmountingbracketonthe

computerchassis(refertocomputersystemdocumentation,if

necessary).

5. InstallthedesiredPCIExpresscardintothePCIeslotonthe

risercardandfastensecurelytothecomputerchassis(referto

computersystemdocumentation,ifnecessary).

6. Replaceandfastenthecomputercover.
