This manual represents an indispensable guide for the correct and safe use of the
Vileda STEAM. Therefore, you should read all the instructions before using the prod-
uct for the first time because it contains information necessary to ensure that the
product can be used in compliance with safety standards and environmental pro-
tection for the entire period of product usage. Retain this document for future refer-
ence. Instructions also available on: www.vileda.com.
This appliance is intended for indoor private household use only.

IGNORING THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAN CAUSE DANGER TO HEALTH
AND SAFETY AS IT MAY CAUSE FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND SERIOUS INJURY.
HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNINGS
• Never immerse unit in water or other liquid, especially whilst plugged into the sock-
et. • Do not direct hot liquid or steam at people, animals, electrical appliances or
electrical outlets. The liquid or steam must not be directed towards equipment con-
taining electrical components, such as the interior of ovens. • Do not store outside
your house e.g. balcony and do not expose to sunlight or rain. • The appliance shall
not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains. • Do not leave the
appliance connected to an electrical plug when not in use. • Never pull the cable to
disconnect the appliance from the socket. Keep the appliance lead away from heat,
oil and sharp edges. • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands, especially when
plugged into the electrical socket. • Never touch the mains plug and the socket with
wet hands. • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord,
pull cord around sharp corners or expose cord to heated surfaces. • Do not use
appliance in an enclosed space filled with vapour given off by oil-based paint thin-
ner, some moth-proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic
vapours. Caution! Do not use on unsealed wood or unsealed laminate floors. On
surfaces that have been treated with wax or even some un-waxed floors, the sheen
may be removed by the heat. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the
surface to be cleaned before proceeding. We also recommend that you check the
use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer. Danger! Never put aromat-
ic, alcoholic or detergent products into the water tank, as this may damage the ap-
pliance or make it unsafe for use. The appliance emits very hot steam. This means
that the cleaning pad area gets very hot during use. • Caution! Always wear suitable
shoes when using the appliance and when changing the accessories on your Vile-
da STEAM. Do not wear slippers or open toed footwear. Do not open the water
tank cap when the appliance is plugged into the electrical socket or immediately af-
ter the product has heated up. • Open the tank only when the product is standing up-
right and stable. Close the water tank cap carefully after filling or re-filling with wa-
ter by turning it 90 degrees clockwise to the lock position. • For floor use only; do not
use the unit upside down. This appliance is intended for indoor household use only.
• Do not use in swimming pools containing water. • Unplug the appliance and allow
to cool before cleaning it. • When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry
place, in an upright position. • Children should not have access to stored appliances.
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before performing any maintenance. The
appliance has to be unplugged after use and before carrying out user maintenance
on the appliance. • The appliance may not be used in areas where a risk of explosion
is present. • The device should not be used to clean electrical appliances such as
oven, exhaust, micro-wave, televisions, hair-dryer, electrical heating systems, etc. •
Never touch the steam jet with hands. • Never try to open the product e.g. by open-
ing the screws.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory or attach-
ment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those rec-
ommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury. This ap-
pliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach
of children when it is energized or cooling down. • Additional residual risks may arise
when using the appliance which may not be included in the enclosed safety warn-
ings. These risks can arise from misuse, prolonged use etc.
Use only with the manufacturers recommended attachments.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The appliance must only be connected to an electrical supply which has been in-
stalled in accordance with IEC 60364. The appliance must only be connected to al-
ternating current. The voltage must correspond with the type plate on the appliance.
• The appliance must only be used with the power cord provided with the appliance.
• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. • Before use,
regularly check the power cord for signs of damage or ageing. If the supply cord
is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. • The appliance is not to be used if it has
been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. • Do not abuse
the power cord. Never carry the appliance by the cord. • Keep the power cord away
from hot surfaces and sharp edges. • Unplug the power cord from the socket be-
fore storing the appliance. • Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other
than those specified in this manual. • In an emergency situation contact profession-
al help immediately! If the home security circuit breaker activates whilst using the
appliance, discontinue product immediately and contact the customer support cen-
tre (beware of the risk of electrical shock).
SERVICE
• Do not use the appliance if any part of the power cord or plug is damaged or de-
fective. • Repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a suitably qualified per-
son in accordance with relevant safety regulations. Repairs by unqualified persons
could be dangerous. • Never modify the appliance in any way as this may increase
the risk of personal injury.
SAFETY DEVICES
Safety devices protect the user and must not be modified or bypassed.
Safety thermostat
The safety thermostat turns off the appliance if the boiler thermostat fails and the ap-
pliance overheats in case of a malfunction. Please contact your local Vileda Custom-
er Service in case of any problem.
ASSEMBLY AND PAD REMOVAL
• Before attempting any of the following operations, make sure that the appliance is unplugged and cold. Slide the handle into the main section of the appliance
until it clicks into place. Slide the frame part into the main section of the appliance until it clicks into place. • The handle can be removed from the appliance for
easy storage by pressing the tube release button placed on the handle and pulling the handle out of the main appliance section. Place a cleaning pad on the
floor with the Velour side facing up. • Lightly press the appliance down onto the cleaning pad. • Never use the appliance without first attaching a cleaning pad. • Be
sure that the appliance is not plugged into the electrical socket and not in action whilst removing the cleaning pad. • Wait until the pad cools down before removing.
• Remove the pad from the frame carefully pulling the pad away with hands. Hot water may drip out of the accessory parts while you are detaching Danger!

FILLING THE WATER TANK
Note: Fill the water tank with clean tap water or distilled water (suggested in case of hard tap water). Remove the water tank cap by turning anti-clockwise. Fill
the tank with water until the tank is visibly full. Tank capacity is 0.4 litres. Do not fill the tank above the maximum capacity. Warning! Fit the filler cap by turning
it firmly clockwise. • Ensure the filler cap is firmly secured.
OPERATION
When the water tank is correctly filled and the water tank is correctly closed, you can start using your Vileda STEAM. Insert the plug into the electricity socket.
Press the “ON/OFF” button placed on the back side of the appliance to the ON position. The Vileda STEAM will now start heating up the water inside the tank.
•The LED on the water tank will be green, this means that the appliance is now heating the water. It takes 15 seconds for the water inside the product to heat up and
reach the working temperature. Regulate the desired volume of steam using the selector switch (see next chapter) Start using your Vileda STEAM! • Turn
unit off by switching “ON/OFF” button to OFF position. • Disconnect the mains plug from the socket to turn off the appliance. Vileda STEAM allows to kill 99.9% of
E.coli Bacterium, as tested in an external lab.
ADJUSTING THE STEAM QUANTITY
Use the selector switch located above the water tank to regulate the volume of steam The selector switch has two positions:
Maximum Steam Volume. Minimum Steam Volume (recommended for delicate floors, like parquet or laminate).
Set the steam volume selector to the required steam volume. Whilst operating the steam volume selector, always have the appliance in an upright position with a
pad on the base of the product.
REFILLING THE WATER TANK
/ Water needs to be re-filled into the tank, if the steam volume decreases during use and no more steam is emitted in the end. 1) Turn the unit off by switching
the ON/OFF button to OFF position. 2) Remove the water tank cap by turning anti-clockwise. 3) Fill the tank with a maximum of 0.4 litres of water. 4) Screw the
safety cap back onto the device. If the device is not re-filled in time, the LED on the water tank will light up red which means the device is in protection mode. In this
self-protection mode, the device cannot be used until the LED lights up green.
HOW TO USE THE CARPET GLIDER
The Carpet Glider accessory allows you to refresh your carpets with the hygienic power of steam. 1) Place a cleaning pad on the floor with the Velour side facing
up. 2) Lightly press the appliance down onto the cleaning pad. 3) Place the carpet glider accessory under the appliance frame with cleaning pad. 4) Gently push
the appliance down on the carpet glider accessory to attach it to the frame. 5) Be sure to follow the FILLING THE WATER TANK and the OPERATIONAL processes
mentioned in the previous chapters. 6) Start refreshing your carpets with the Vileda Carpet Glider accessory, pushing the mop and glider in a forward and back-
ward motion. 7) When you have finished refreshing your carpet or rug, unplug the steam mop and remove the carpet glider following the below precautions: •
Always turn the unit off by switching the ON/OFF button to OFF position before removing the carpet glider. • Be sure that the tool is not plugged into the electrical
socket and not in action whilst removing the carpet glider or the pad. • Wait until the carpet glider and pad cools down before removing. • Remove the carpet glider
from the frame by carefully pulling the cool carpet glider away with hands. Hot water may drip out of the accessory parts while you are detaching them! Danger!
Never detach accessory parts or pad while steam streams out - risk of scalding! • Always vacuum the carpet thoroughly before using the steam mop.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PRODUCT RECYCLING
• The Vileda STEAM fulfils the EU directive 2002/96/CE, covering electrical and electronic appliances and the management of its disposal. • The packaging
material is entirely recyclable, and marked with the recycling symbol. Follow local regulations for scrapping. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polysty-
rene parts, etc.) out of the reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous. • When the product has reached the end of its life please do not dispose of it with
general household waste. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources. • This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To
prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material
resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this
product for environmental safe recycling.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are in doubt or if the failure is not listed here please contact the authorized customer service number. Always disconnect the mains plug and allow the steam
cleaner to cool down before performing any maintenance work. Repair works may only be performed by the authorized customer service. If no steam is emitted
anymore and the LED turns red, check the water level inside the water tank and follow the instructions described in the chapter “Filling The Water Tank”. If there is
still no more steam emitted, the appliance may need to be descaled. In this case follow the instructions described in the chapter “Limescale Removal”.
LIMESCALE REMOVAL
If the product begins to produce steam more slowly than usual or stops producing steam you may need to remove limescale. Limescale can develop over time on
the metal parts and affect product performance. We recommend removing limescale on a regular basis especially in areas with hard tap water. The frequency of
limescale removal depends upon the hardness of your tap water and how often you use the product.
Recommended procedure to remove limescale from the appliance
1. Prepare a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 tap water and insert it into the water tank (approximately: 135 ml white vinegar and 265 ml water).
2. Place the Steam Mop in a way that the steam released from the appliance is not reaching the floor, objects or persons.
3. Plug in the unit and wait for the green light.
4. Wait until all the vinegar/water solution is used up by the appliance.
5. Repeat the above procedure as many times as necessary until a normal steam flow rate is achieved.
6. Fill the water tank with fresh water, attach to the unit and release steam through the system until the water tank is empty.
Note: after each limescale removal procedure, we recommend to perform a test using the appliance to clean a suitable isolated floor area, to ensure that there
is no debris left in the appliance.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAD WASHING
• Dirty pads can be machine washed at 60°C. • Do not use fabric softener as this can affect the performance of the pads. • Pad composition: 91% Polyester, 9% Other.

cerati la cui lucidatura potrebbe essere rimossa dal calore. Si raccomanda di testa-
re sempre una zona isolata della superficie da pulire, prima di procedere sull’intera
area. Si raccomanda inoltre di consultare prima le istruzioni per l’uso e la manuten-
zione del fornitore del pavimento. Pericolo! Non inserire mai sostanze aromatiche,
alcoliche o detergenti nel contenitore dell’acqua, perché potrebbero danneggiare
l’apparecchio o renderlo non sicuro all’uso. L’apparecchio emette vapore mol-
to caldo. Questo significa che l’area intorno all’erogatore e al panno diventano mol-
to caldi durante l’uso. Attenzione! Indossare sempre scarpe adatte quando si utilizza
il prodotto e quando si cambiano gli accessori di Vileda STEAM. Non indossare cia-
batte o scarpe aperte. Non aprire il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua quando l’appa-
recchio è collegato alla presa elettrica e fino a quando non si è raffreddato. • Aprire
il serbatoio solo quando il prodotto è in posizione verticale e stabile. Chiudere at-
tentamente il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua dopo averlo riempito o rabboccato con
acqua, girando il tappo di 90° in senso orario fino alla posizione di chiusura. • Usare
solo per la pulizia dei pavimenti; non usare il prodotto capovolto. Questo apparecchio
è destinato esclusivamente ad un utilizzo domestico. • Non utilizzare in piscine con-
tenenti acqua. • Staccare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente e lasciarlo raffred-
dare prima di pulirlo. • Quando non viene utilizzato, l’apparecchio dovrebbe essere
conservato in un luogo asciutto, in posizione verticale. • Tenere l’apparecchio lon-
tano dalla portata dei bambini. • Staccare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente ed
attendere che si raffreddi prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione.
L’apparecchio deve essere scollegato dopo l’uso e prima di eseguire qualsiasi ma-
nutenzione sull’apparecchio. • L’apparecchio non deve essere usato in aree dove

gato solo alla corrente alternata. Il voltaggio deve corrispondere con quanto indi-
cato indicato sulla targhetta posta sull’’apparecchio. • L’apparecchio deve esse-
re utilizzato solo con il cavo di alimentazione dato in dotazione con l’apparecchio.
• Prima dell’uso, controllare che l’apparecchio non abbia danni o parti difettose.
• Prima dell’uso controllate regolarmente che il cavo di alimentazione dell’apparec-
chio non abbia segni di danni o deterioramento. Se il cavo di alimentazione è dan-
neggiato, deve essere sostituito dal produttore, dal suo servizio di assistenza o da
una persona adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti norme di sicu-
rezza al fine di evitare un pericolo. • L’apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato se è
caduto, se ci sono segni visibili di danni o se perde acqua. • Non maltrattare il cavo di
alimentazione. Non trascinare l’apparecchio per il cavo. • Tenere il cavo di alimenta-
zione lontano da superfici calde e bordi taglienti. • Staccare il cavo di alimentazione
dalla corrente prima di riporre l’apparecchio. • Non cercate di rimuovere o sostitui-
re nessuna parte dell’apparecchio tranne quelle specificate in questo manuale. • In
una situazione di emergenza contattare immediatamente un professionista! Se
il salvavita si attiva mentre si sta utilizzando il prodotto, scollegarlo immediatamen-
te e contattare il servizio clienti locale (Fare attenzione al rischio di scossa elettrica).
RIPARAZIONI
• Non utilizzare l’apparecchio se una qualsiasi parte del cavo di alimentazione o della
presa è danneggiata o difettosa. • Le riparazioni possono essere effettuate solo da
un tecnico o da una persona adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti
norme di sicurezza. Le riparazioni eseguite da personale non qualificato potrebbero
essere pericolose. • Non modificare mai in alcun modo l’apparecchio. Qualsiasi mo-
difica potrebbe aumentare il rischio di danni e infortuni.
DISPOSITIVI DI SICUREZZA
I dispositivi di sicurezza proteggono l’utilizzatore del prodotto e non devono essere
modificati o manomessi.
Termostato di sicurezza
il termostato di sicurezza spegne l’apparecchio in caso di malfunzionamento se il
termostato della caldaia non funziona e l’apparecchio si surriscalda troppo. Contat-
tare il servizio clienti locale Vileda nel caso in cui si verificasse qualsiasi tipo di pro-

ASSEMBLAGGIO E RIMOZIONE DEL PANNO
•Prima di effettuare le seguenti operazioni, verificate che l’apparecchio sia scollegato dalla corrente e freddo. Inserire il manico nel corpo principale dell’ap-
parecchio fino a quando non senti un ‟click”. Agganciare la piastra al corpo principale dell’apparecchio fino a quando non senti un ‟click”. • Per poter riporre
facilmente l’apparecchio, il manico può essere sganciato dal corpo principale premendo il pulsante di sgancio posto nel manico Posizionare il panno di pulizia
sul pavimento con il lato con il velcro rivolto verso l’alto. • Premere leggermente la piastra sul panno • Non usare mai l’apparecchio senza prima aver applicato il
panno per la pulizia. • Accertarsi che l’apparecchio non sia collegato alla presa elettrica e non sia acceso quando dovete rimuovere il panno. Aspettare che il pan-
no sia freddo prima di rimuoverlo. • Rimuovere il panno dalla piastra, tirandolo delicatamente con le mani. Pericolo! Dell’acqua calda può gocciolare dai com-
ponenti accessori mentre vengono staccati! Non staccare mai i componenti accessori o il panno mentre fuoriesce il vapore - c’è il rischio di scottature e ustioni!!
RIEMPIRE IL SERBATOIO DELL’ ACQUA
Nota: Riempire il serbatoio con acqua del rubinetto pulita o acqua distillata (suggerita in caso di acqua particolarmente dura). Svitare il tappo del serbatoio gi-

COME UTILIZZARE IL PRODOTTO
Quando il serbatoio dell’acqua è riempito correttamente e correttamente chiuso, è possibile iniziare ad utilizzare Vileda STEAM. Inserire la spina nella presa di
corrente. Premere il pulsante ON/OFF, posto sul retro dell’apparecchio, portandolo sulla posizione ON. Vileda STEAM inizierà ora a riscaldare l’acqua all’inter-
no del serbatoio. • L’indicatore luminoso posto sopra il serbatoio dell’acqua diventerà verde, questo significa che l’apparecchio sta scaldando l’acqua: occorrono
circa 15 secondi perchè l’acqua si riscaldi e raggiunga la temperatura di funzionamento. Regolare il getto di vapore desiderato utilizzando il regolatore (vedere
sezione successiva) Ora potete pulire con il vostro Vileda STEAM ! • Spegnere l’unità tramite il pulsante ON/OFF, portandolo sulla posizione OFF. • Scollegare
la spina dalla presa di corrente per spegnere l’apparecchio. Vileda STEAM elimina il 99,9% di batteri E. Coli, come risulta dai test effettuati presso un laboratorio
terzo ed indipendente.
REGOLAZIONE DELLA QUANTITA’ DI VAPORE
Utilizzare il regolatore posizionato sopra il serbatoio dell’acqua per regolare il getto di vapore. Il regolatore ha due posizioni:
Massimo getto di vapore. Minimo getto di vapore (raccomandato per pavimenti delicati, come parquet e laminati).
Impostare il regolatore del vapore sino al getto di vapore desiderato. Quando si sta regolando il getto di vapore, tenere sempre l’apparecchio in posizione verticale
con il panno applicato alla base del prodotto.
RABBOCCARE IL SERBATOIO DELL’ACQUA
/ - Il serbatoio dell’acqua va rabboccato nel caso in cui il volume di vapore diminuisca durante l’uso e tenda ad esaurirsi. 1) spegnere l’unità utilizzando il pul
sante ON/OFF posizionandolo su OFF. 2) Togliere il tappo del serbatoio svitandolo in senso antiorario. 3) Riempire il contenitore dell’acqua fino ad un massimo di
0,4 litri di acqua. 4) Riavvitare il tappo sull’unità.
Se il serbatoio dell’acqua non viene riempito in tempo, il LED posto sul serbatoio dell’acqua si illuminerà di rosso, significa che il dispositivo è in fase di protezione.
Quando si verifica questa situazione di auto-protezione, l’apparecchio non può essere utilizzato fino a quando il LED si illuminerà di verde.
COME USARE L’ACCESSORIO PER I TAPPETI
L’accessorio per i tappeti consente di rinfrescare tutti i tappeti con il potere igienizzante del vapore. 1) Appoggiare il panno sul pavimento con il lato
con il velcro rivolto verso l’alto 2) Premere delicatamente la piastra dell’apparecchio sopra il panno 3) Appoggiare l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tap-
peti sotto la piastra a cui è applicato il panno. 4) Premere delicatamente l’apparecchio sull’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti fino a che non sia aggan-
ciato alla piastra. 5) Assicurarsi di seguire ATTENTAMENTE la procedura di riempimento del serbatoio dell’acqua e di utilizzo del prodotto illustrata nei pre-
cedenti capitoli. 6) Iniziare a pulire i tappeti con l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti Vileda, muovendo l’apparecchio avanti e indietro. 7) Quando avete
finito di rinfrescare il tappeto o la moquette, scollegate l’apparecchio e rimuovete l’accessorio per i tappeti seguendo le precauzioni riportate di seguito:
• Spegnere sempre l’apparecchio tramite il pulsante ON/OFF, posizionandolo su OFF prima di rimuovere l’accessorio per i tappeti.• Assicurarsi sempre che
l’apparecchio non sia collegato alla presa di corrente elettrica e non sia in funzione quando si rimuove l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti o il panno.• Attendere
che sia l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti che il panno siano freddi prima di rimuoverli• Rimuovete l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti dalla piastra quando è
freddo tirandolo delicatamente con le mani. Pericolo! Dell’acqua calda può fuoriuscire dalle parti accessorie mentre vengono staccate! Non staccare mai gli
accessori o il panno mentre fuoriesce del vapore- c’è il rischio di scottature!• Passare sempre l’aspirapovere sul tappeto prima di utilizzare Vileda Steam.
ISTRUZIONI E AVVERTENZE PER LO SMALTIMENTO DEL PRODOTTO E DELL’IMBALLAGGIO
Il simbolo del “contenitore di spazzatura barrato” riportato sul prodotto indica che lo stesso é soggetto a regime di raccolta differenziata previsto per le apparec-
chiature elettriche ed elettroniche dalla direttiva 2012/19/UE e che pertanto non va smaltito come normale rifiuto urbano. I Comuni organizzano centri di raccolta
differenziata dei rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche presso i quali potrete conferire gratuitamente il prodotto al termine del suo utilizzo. Nel caso
di acquisto di una nuova apparecchiatura di tipo equivalente sarà facoltà dell’utente riconsegnare il Vileda Steam usato, al venditore il quale provvederà al ritiro
gratuito dello stesso ed al trasporto presso i centri di raccolta differenziata. Si raccomanda uno scrupoloso rispetto delle norme sull’uso e sullo smaltimento del
prodotto al fine di evitare la dispersione di sostanze pericolose nell’ambiente che potrebbero causare effetti negativi per l’ambiente e per la salute umana. Lo smal-
timento abusivo dei rifiuti è punito dalla legge e comporta l’irrogazione delle sanzioni amministrative previste dalla legislazione vigente. Un corretto smaltimento
del prodotto favorisce il riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta l’apparecchiatura. Per informazioni più dettagliate sul trattamento, recupero e riciclaggio di questo
prodotto, contattare il servizio di riciclaggio del proprio comune. • Il simbolo identifica che Vileda Steam è un prodotto sottoposto al regime di utilizzo, riciclag-
gio e recupero per le apparecchiature elettroniche. Il materiale utilizzato per l’imballaggio del prodotto é interamente reciclabile come evidenziato dal simbolo ap-
posto sullo stesso . Attenersi alla norme legisltive e regolamentari locali vigenti in materia di smaltimento. Tenere il materiale di imballaggio (sacchetti di plastica,
parti in polystyrene, etc..) lontano dalla portata dei bambini perchè potenzialmente pericolosi.
RISOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI
Se avete dei dubbi o se il guasto non è elencato qui di seguito si prega di contattare il servizio consumatori. Staccare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente e
aspettare che l’apparecchio si raffreddi prima di eseguire qualsiasi lavoro di manutenzione. Le riparazioni possono essere effettuate solo da un tecnico o da una
persona adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti norme di sicurezza. Se non fuoriesce più vapore e l’indicatore luminoso diventa rosso, controllare
il livello dell’acqua all’interno del serbatoio e seguire le istruzioni descritte nel capitolo “Riempire il serbatoio dell’acqua”. Se ancora non fuoriesce il vapore, può
essere necessario pulire l’apparecchio dal calcare. In questo caso, seguire le istruzioni descritte nel capitolo “Rimuovere il calcare”. Servizio consumatori Vileda:

RIMUOVERE IL CALCARE
Se l’apparecchio inizia a emettere vapore più lentamente del solito o smette di emettere vapore può essere necessario rimuovere il calcare. Il calcare può svi-
lupparsi nel corso del tempo sulle parti metalliche e influire sulle prestazioni del prodotto. Si consiglia di rimuovere il calcare regolarmente soprattutto nei casi
in cui l’acqua di rubinetto che si utilizza è dura. La frequenza di rimozione del calcare dipende dalla durezza dell’acqua utilizzata e dalla frequenza di utilizzo
dell’apparecchio.
Procedura raccomandata per rimuovere il calcare dall’apparecchio:
1. Preparare una soluzione con 1/3 di aceto bianco e 2/3 di acqua di rubinetto e inserirla nel serbatoio dell’acqua (circa: 135 ml di aceto bianco e 265 ml di acqua).
2. Posizionare il prodotto in modo che il vapore rilasciato dall’apparecchio non raggiunga il pavimento, persone, animali o oggetti.
3. Collegare l’apparecchio alla presa e attendere che l’indicatore luminoso diventi verde.
4. Attendere che tutta la soluzione di aceto/acqua venga utilizzata dall’apparecchio.
5. Ripetere la procedura se necessario fino a quando il flusso di vapore diventa regolare.
6. Riempire il serbatoio con acqua fresca, collegare l’apparecchio e rilasciare il vapore fino a quando il serbatoio è vuoto.
Nota: dopo ogni procedura di rimozione del calcare, si consiglia di effettuare un test utilizzando l’apparecchio per pulire una superficie idonea isolata, al fine di
assicurarsi che non siano rimasti detriti nell’apparecchio.
ISTRUZIONI PER IL LAVAGGIO DEL PANNO
I panni possono essere lavati in lavatrice a 60°. Non usare ammorbidente poiché può influire sulle prestazioni del panno. Composizione del panno: 91% polyester, 9% altro.

Vorsicht: Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht auf unversiegelten Holz- und Laminatbö-
den. Auf Oberflächen, die mit Wachs behandelt wurden und in Ausnahmen auch auf
ungewachsten Böden, könnte durch die Nutzung der Glanz reduziert werden. Vor
dem ersten Gebrauch empfehlen wir, das Gerät an einer unauffälligen Stelle zu tes-
ten. Wir empfehlen ebenso, die Gebrauchs- und Pflegeanleitung des Bodenherstel-
lers zu prüfen. Gefahr! Befüllen Sie den Wasserbehälter nie. mit parfümierten und
alkoholhaltigen Lösungen oder Reinigungsprodukten, da diese das Gerät beschädi-
gen oder für den Gebrauch unsicher machen könnten. Durch den Ausstoß von
sehr heißem Dampf heizt sich der Wischbezug während des Gebrauchs sehr stark
auf. • Vorsicht! Tragen Sie während des Gebrauchs des Geräts und des Austauschs
des Zubehörs Ihres Vileda Steam stets angemessenes Schuhwerk. Tragen Sie kei-
ne Hausschuhe oder offene Schuhe. Öffnen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters
nicht, wenn das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz verbunden ist oder sofort nach vollständi-
ger Erhitzung des Wassers. • Öffnen Sie den Wasserbehälter nur wenn das Produkt
aufrecht und sicher steht. Schließen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters gründ-
lich nach Befüllung, indem Sie sie um 90 Grad im Uhrzeigersinn bis zur „geschlos-
senen Position“ drehen. • Nur für den Boden zu verwenden; nutzen Sie das Gerät
nicht auf dem Kopf stehend. Dieses Gerät ist lediglich für den Innengebrauch. Nut-
zen Sie das Gerät nicht in swimming pools, in denen sich Wasser befindet. • Trennen
Sie das Gerät vor der Säuberung vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie es vorher abkühlen.
• Bitte trennen Sie das Gerät nach jeder Nutzung und vor der Ausführung von War-
tungsarbeiten vom Stromnetz. • Bewahren Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen Platz
in aufrechter Position auf. • Bewahren Sie das Gerät außerhalb der Reichweite von
Kindern auf. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vor der Wartung vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie
es vorher abkühlen. • Das Gerät sollte nicht dort verwendet werden, wo ein Explosi-
onsrisiko besteht. • Das Gerät sollte nicht für die Reinigung von Elektrogeräten wie

PERSÖNLICHE SICHERHEIT
• In diesem Handbuch wird die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung beschrieben.
Die Verwendung von Zubehör oder Anbauteilen, die nicht in der Gebrauchsanwei-
sung empfohlen werden, sowie die unsachgemäße Bedienung des Gerätes kön-
nen zu Verletzungen führen. Dieses Gerät kann von Personen mit verringerten phy-

ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT
• Das Gerät darf nur an einen Stromanschluss angeschlossen werden, der gemäß
IEC 60364 installiert worden ist. • Das Gerät darf nur an Wechselstrom angeschlos-
sen werden. Die Spannung muss mit dem Typenschild auf dem Gerät übereinstim-
men. • Das Gerät darf nur mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel betrieben werden. • Prüfen
Sie das Gerät vor Gebrauch auf Beschädigungen. • Prüfen Sie das Kabel vor Ge-
brauch auf Zeichen von Beschädigungen. Sollte das Kabel beschädigt sein, muss
es durch den Hersteller, dem Kundendienst oder einer entsprechend qualifizierten
Person gemäß der Sicherheitsvorschriften ersetzt werden. • Das Gerät sollte nicht
genutzt werden, wenn es fallen gelassen wurde, wenn es sichtbare Schäden gibt
oder falls es leckt. • Nutzen Sie das Stromkabel nicht für nicht vorgesehene Anwen-
dungen. Tragen Sie das Gerät nie am Kabel. • Halten Sie das Stromkabel von hei-
ßen Oberflächen und scharfen Kanten fern. • Trennen Sie das Kabel vom Stromnetz
bevor Sie das Gerät verstauen • Entfernen oder ersetzen Sie nie Teile, die nicht im
Handbuch ausdrücklich benannt sind. • In Notfällen kontaktieren Sie sofort profes-
sionelle Hilfe! Falls Ihre Sicherung während des Gebrauchs des Geräts heraus -
springt, beenden Sie den Gebrauch sofort und kontaktieren Sie die Kundenbetreu-
ung (beachten Sie das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlags).
WARTUNG
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es beschädigt ist. • Reparaturen sollten nur
vom Kundendienst oder einer entsprechend qualifizierten Person gemäß der Sicher-
heitsvorschriften ausgeführt werden. • Veränderungen am Gerät können zu Verlet-
zungen führen.
SCHUTZVORRICHTUNGEN
Schutzvorrichtungen schützen den Anwender und dürfen nicht verändert oder um-
geleitet/überbrückt werden.
Sicherheitsthermostat
Der Sicherheits Thermostat schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab, wenn der Thermos-
tat des Boilers versagt und das Gerät aufgrund einer Störung überhitzt. Bitte kontak-
tieren Sie im Falle eines Problems den Vileda Kundenservice.
AUFBAUANLEITUNG UND ANBRINGUNG DES WISCHBEZUGES
• Bevor Sie eine der folgenden Schritte durchführen, stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät nicht am Stromnetz angeschlossen und abgekühlt ist. Schieben Sie den
Stiel in den Gerätkörper bis Sie ein Klicken hören. Schieben Sie den Dreiecksfuß in den Gerätekörper bis Sie ein Klicken hören. • Um das Gerät platzsparend
zu verstauen, drücken Sie den Knopf am Stiel und ziehen den Stiel aus dem Gerätekörper. Legen Sie einen Vileda Steam Wischbezug mit der glatten Seite nach
oben auf den Boden • Drücken Sie das Gerät mit leichtem Druck auf den Wischbezug. • Benutzen Sie das Gerät niemals ohne Wischbezug. • Vor dem Entfernen
des Wischbezuges, müssen Sie sicher stellen, dass das Gerät nicht mit dem Stromnetz verbunden und nicht in Benutzung ist. • Warten Sie bis der Wischbezug
abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie ihn entfernen. • Entfernen Sie durch vorsichtiges Ziehen mit den Händen den Wischbezug vom Gerät. Achtung: Entfernen Sie niemals
das Zubehör oder den Wischbezug während Dampf aus dem Gerät austritt: Verbrühungsrisiko!
BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS
Anmerkung: Bitte befüllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit sauberen Leitungswasser oder idealerweise bei hartem Leitungswasser mit destilliertem Wasser. Ent-
fernen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Füllen Sie Wasser in den Wasserbehälter bis Sie den Wasserspiegel sehen.
Warnung: Die Kapazität des Wasserbehälters beträgt 400ml. Befüllen Sie den Behälter nicht über diese Grenze hinaus. Setzen Sie die Verschlusskappe auf
den Behälter und befestigen Sie diese durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn • Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Wasserbehälter sicher verschlossen ist.
ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES
Sobald der Wasserbehälter korrekt gefüllt und verschlossen ist, ist der Vileda STEAM einsatzbereit. Verbinden Sie das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz. Stellen sie
das Gerät an, indem Sie auf der Rückseite den An-/Ausschalter auf „ON“ einstellen. Der Vileda STEAM heizt nun das Wasser im Wasserbehälter auf. • Die
LED-Anzeige auf dem Wasserbehälter zeigt beim Erhitzen des Wassers ein grünes Licht: Es dauert 15 Sekunden um das Wasser im Tank auf Betriebstemperatur
aufzuheizen. Regulieren Sie je nach Wunsch die Stärke des Dampfausstoßes (mehr Details entnehmen Sie dem nächsten Kapitel) Jetzt können Sie mit dem
Vileda Steam reinigen! • Stellen Sie das Gerät ab, indem Sie den An-/Ausschalter auf „OFF“ stellen. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz.
Vileda Steam ermöglicht es 99,9% von E.coli. Bakterien zu töten. Dies wurde in einem externen, unabhängigen Labor geprüft.
EINSTELLUNG DES DAMPFAUSSTOSSES
Zur Regulierung der Dampfmenge nutzen Sie den Dampfregler über dem Wasserbehälter. Der Regler ermöglicht zwei Einstellungen:
Maximales Dampfvolumen. Minimales Dampfvolumen (empfohlen für empfindliche Böden, wie Parkett und Laminat).
Stellen Sie den Regler auf das gewünschte Dampf volumen. Stellen Sie dabei sicher, dass das Gerät aufrecht steht und sich ein Wischbezug unter dem Gerät
befindet.
NACHFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS
/ Sollten Sie bei der Benutzung des Gerätes merken, dass der Dampfausstoß nachlässt oder überhaupt kein Dampf mehr ausgestoßen wird, muss Wasser
nachgefüllt werden. 1) Stellen Sie das Gerät ab, indem Sie den An-/Ausschalter auf „OFF“ stellen. 2) Öffnen Sie den Wasserbehälter durch Drehen der Ver-
schlusskappe gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. 3) Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit maximal 400ml Wasser. 4) Verschließen Sie den Wasserbehälter durch Drehen der
Verschlusskappe im Uhrzeigersinn. Sollte das Wasser nicht rechtzeitig nachgefüllt werden, wechselt das Gerät in den Schutzmodus. In diesem Fall leuchtet die
LED rot auf. Eine Nutzung des Gerätes ist dann erst wieder möglich, wenn die LED wieder grün aufleuchtet.
BENUTZUNG DES TEPPICHGLEITERS
Mit dem Teppichgleiter können Sie den Vileda STEAM auch auf Ihren Teppichen anwenden und diese mit der hygienischen Wirkung des Dampfes auffrischen.
1)Legen Sie einen Vileda Steam Wischbezug mit der glatten Seite nach oben auf den Boden. 2) Drücken Sie das Gerät mit leichtem Druck auf den Wischbezug.
3)Platzieren Sie den dreieckigen Teppichgleiter auf den Boden. 4) Setzen Sie das Gerät in den Teppichgleiter und drücken Sie es leicht nach unten. 5) Stel-
len Sie sicher, dass Sie die vorher beschriebenen Schritte zum BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS und der ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES befolgen. 6) Jetzt
können Sie mit der Benutzung des Teppichgleiters auf Ihren Teppichen beginnen – bewegen Sie dafür das Gerät vor und zurück. 7) Nach der Benutzung trennen
Sie das Gerät bitte vom Stromnetz und entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter. Bitte beachten Sie dabei die folgenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen: • Vor dem Entfernen des
Teppichgleiters müssen Sie das Gerät ausstellen, indem Sie den An-/Ausschalter auf „OFF“ stellen. • Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt
und nicht in Nutzung ist, wenn Sie den Teppichgleiter oder den Wischbezug vom Gerät entfernen. • Warten Sie bis das Gerät abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie den Tep-
pichgleiter und/oder den Wischbezug entfernen. • Entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter durch vorsichtiges Ziehen am Teppichgleiter mit den Händen. Achtung:
Entfernen Sie niemals das Zubehör oder den Wischbezug während Dampf aus dem Gerät austritt: Verbrühungsrisiko! • Bitte reinigen Sie Ihre Teppiche gründlich
mit einem Staubsauger bevor Sie den Vileda STEAM benutzen.
ENTSORGUNG UND UMWELTSCHUTZ
• Der Vileda STEAM erfüllt die EU-Richtlinie 2002/96/CE, welche die Verwertung von Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräten beinhaltet. • Die Verpackungsmaterialen
sind wiederverwertbar und mit dem Recycle-Symbol versehen. Folgen Sie den örtlichen Bestimmungen zur Entsorgung. Halten Sie die Verpackungsmaterialien
(Plastiktüten etc.) fern von Kindern, da diese für Kinder gefährlich sein können. • Bitte entsorgen Sie das Gerät am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer nicht über den
normalen Hausmüll. Um zu verhindern, dass Umweltschäden enstehen, oder die menschliche Gesundheit durch falsche Müllentsorgung geschädigt wird, recy-

Vor jeglichen Wartungsarbeiten stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt und abgekühlt ist. Falls kein Dampf mehr ausgestoßen wird und
die LED rot leuchtet, prüfen Sie bitte die Wasserhöhe im Behälter und folgen Sie den Anweisungen unter „Befüllen des Wasserbehälters“. Sollte anschließend
immer noch kein Dampf ausgestoßen werden, müsste das Gerät ggf. entkalkt werden. In diesem Fall folgen Sie bitte den Hinweisen zur Entkalkung des Gerätes.
HINWEISE ZUR ENTKALKUNG DES GERÄTES
Fall das Produkt deutlich langsamer oder gar keinen Dampf mehr austößt, kann es notwendig sein, das Gerät zu entkalken. Kalk kann sich im Laufe der Zeit auf den
Metallteilen des Gerätes ablagern und die Funktionsfähigkeit beeinträchtigen. Wir empfehlen Kalkablagerungen regelmäßig zu entfernen, insbesondere wenn
Sie in einer Region mit stark kalkhaltigen Wasser wohnen. Die Häufigkeit in der Kalkablagerungen entfernt werden müssen ist abhängig von der Wasserhärte und
der Häufigkeit mit der Sie das Gerät benutzen.
So können Sie ihr Gerät entkalken:
1. Mischen Sie 1/3 weißen Essig (ca. 135ml) und 2/3 (ca. 265ml) Leitungswasser und füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter des Gerätes.
2. Platzieren Sie den Vileda Steam so, dass der Dampf nicht auf eine Oberfläche, Gegenstände oder Personen treffen kann.
3. Verbinden Sie das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz und warten Sie bis die LED grün aufleuchtet.
4. Warten Sie bis der Wasserbehälter leer ist.
5. Wiederholen Sie dieses Vorgehen bis der Dampf wieder in der gewohnten Form austritt.
6. Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit frischem Wasser und lassen Sie den Dampf so lange austreten bis der Behälter leer ist.
Anmerkung: Wir empfehlen nach der Entkalkung das Gerät an einer unauffälligen Stelle zu testen, um sicherzustellen, dass keine Kalkrückstände aus dem Gerät
austreten.
HINWEISE ZU WASCHBARKEIT DES WISCHBEZUGES
• Der Steam Wischbezug kann bei 60°C gewaschen werden. • Bitte nutzen Sie keine Weichspüler, da diese die Reinigungsleistung des Wischbezugen beeinträchtigen
können. • Zusammensetzung des Bezuges: 91% Polyester, 9% andere Materialien.

• Ne jamais immerger l’appareil dans l’eau ou tout autre liquide, particulièrement
lorsqu’il est branché au courant. • Ne pas diriger le jet de vapeur vers des personnes,
des animaux, des appareils électriques ou des prises électriques. Le liquide ou la va-
peur ne doivent pas être dirigés vers des appareils contenant des composants élec-
troniques, comme l’intérieur des fours. • Ne pas ranger en dehors de votre maison
(ex balcon) et ne pas exposer à la lumière du soleil ou à la pluie. • L’appareil ne de-
vrait pas être laissé sans surveillance lorsqu’il est branché au courant. • Ne pas lais-
ser l’appareil branché à une prise électrique quand il n’est pas utilisé. • Ne jamais ti-
rer sur le câble pour débrancher l’appareil de la prise électrique. Maintenir l’appa-
reil loin des sources de chaleur, d’huile et de bords tranchants. • Ne pas manipu-
ler l’appareil avec les mains mouillées, notamment lors du branchement à une prise
électrique. • Ne jamais toucher la prise principale et la prise de courant avec les
mains mouillées. • Ne pas : tirer ou porter avec le cordon, utiliser le cordon comme
un manche, fermer une porte sur le cordon, tirer sur le cordon près d’angles aigui-
sés ou mettre le cordon sur une surface chaude. • Ne pas utiliser l’appareil dans
un espace clos rempli de vapeur dégagée par des diluants de peintures, des traite-
ments anti-mite, de la poussière inflammable ou toute vapeur explosive ou toxique.
Avertissement ! Ne pas utiliser sur bois brut ou du parquet en bois brut. La va-
peur peut enlever l’éclat sur les surfaces qui ont été traitées avec de la cire ou sur
certains sols non cirés. Nous recommandons de vérifier l’utilisation et les conseils
d’entretien avec le fabricant du sol. Danger ! Ne jamais mettre d’huile essentielle,
d’alcool ou de détergent dans le réservoir d’eau, cela pourrait endommager le pro-
duit ou le rendre dangereux à l’utilisation. L’outil émet de l’eau très chaude. Cela
veut dire que la housse de nettoyage est très chaude lors de l’utilisation. • Attention !
Toujours porter des chaussures adaptées quand vous utilisez l’appareil ou que vous
changez un accessoire sur votre balai vapeur. Ne pas porter de chaussons ou de
chaussures ouvertes. Ne pas ouvrir le réservoir lorsque l’appareil est branché à
une prise électrique ou immédiatement après que le produit ait été réchauffé. • Ou-
vrir le réservoir seulement lorsque le produit est debout et stable. Fermer le bou -
chon du réservoir après avoir rempli d’eau en tournant à 90 degrés dans le sens des
aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’en position fermée. • Pour une utilisation au sol seule-
ment ; ne pas utiliser à l’envers. Cet appareil est prévu uniquement pour un usage
