Thank you for purchasing our new Vileda STEAM PLUS!

This manual represents an indispensable guide for the correct and safe use of the

Vileda STEAM PLUS. Therefore, you should read all the instructions before using

the product for the ﬁrst time because it contains information necessary to ensure

that the product can be used in compliance with safety standards and environmental

protection for the entire period of product usage. Retain this document for future

reference. Instructions also available on: www.vileda.com.

This appliance is intended for indoor private household use only.

 HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNINGS

• Never immerse unit in water or other liquid, especially whilst plugged into the

socket. • Do not direct hot liquid or STEAM PLUS at people, animals, electrical

appliances or electrical outlets. The liquid or STEAM PLUS must not be directed

towards equipment containing electrical components, such as the interior of ovens.

• Do not use or do not store outdoors and do not expose to sunlight or rain. • The

appliance should not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains. •

Do not leave the appliance connected to an electrical plug when not in use. • Never

pull the cable to disconnect the appliance from the socket. Keep the appliance lead

away from heat, oil and sharp edges. • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands,

especially when plugged into the electrical socket. • Never touch the mains plug and

the socket with wet hands. • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close

door on cord, pull cord around sharp corners or expose cord to heated surfaces.

Check appliance for damage before use.• Do not use appliance in an enclosed

space ﬁlled with vapour given oﬀ by oil-based paint thinner, some moth-prooﬁng

substances, ﬂammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapours.  Caution! Do

not use on unsealed wood or unsealed laminate ﬂoors. On surfaces that have been

treated with varnish, wax or even some un-waxed ﬂoors, the sheen may be removed

by the heat. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be

cleaned before proceeding. Do not leave the running product standing still on the

ﬂoor, always keep it moving. Never leave the product with a hot and / or wet pad in

direct contact with the ﬂoor after use, , except for the hygienic cleaning of the pads,

as described below in the HYGIENIC CLEANING section. We also recommend that

you check the use and care instructions from the ﬂoor manufacturer.  Danger!

Never put ﬂammable, aromatic, alcoholic or detergent products into the water tank,

as this may damage the appliance or make it unsafe for use.  The appliance emits

very hot STEAM PLUS. This means that the cleaning pad area gets very hot during

use.  Caution! Always wear suitable shoes when using the appliance and when

changing the accessories on your Vileda STEAM PLUS. Do not wear slippers or open

toed footwear.  Do not open the water tank cap when the appliance is plugged into

the electrical socket or immediately after the product has heated up. Open the tank

only when the product is standing upright and stable. Close the water tank cap 

carefully after ﬁlling or re-ﬁlling with water by turning it 90 degrees clockwise to the

lock position. • For ﬂoor use only; do not use the unit upside down. This appliance is

intended for indoor household use only. • Do not use in swimming pools containing

water. • Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning it. • When not in

use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place, in an upright position. • Children

should not have access to stored appliances. • Unplug the appliance and allow to

cool before performing any maintenance. The appliance has to be unplugged after

use and before carrying out user maintenance on the appliance. • The appliance may

not be used in areas where a risk of explosion is present. • The device should not be

used to clean electrical appliances such as oven, exhaust, micro-wave, televisions,

hair-dryer, electrical heating systems, etc. • Never touch the STEAM PLUS jet with

hands. • Never try to open the product e.g. by opening the screws.

 PERSONAL SAFETY

• The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory or attach-

ment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those rec-

ommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury. This ap-

pliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili-

ties or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or in-

struction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards

involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance

shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach

of children when it is energized or cooling down. Additional residual risks may arise

when using the appliance which may not be included in the enclosed safety warn-

ings. These risks can arise from misuse, prolonged use etc.

Use only with the manufacturers recommended attachments.

 ELECTRICAL SAFETY

• The appliance must only be connected to an electrical supply which has been in-

stalled in accordance with IEC 60364. The appliance must only be connected to al-

ternating current. The voltage must correspond with the type plate on the appliance.

• The appliance must only be used with the power cord provided with the appliance.

• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. • Before use,

regularly check the power cord for signs of damage or ageing. If the supply cord

is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar-

ly qualiﬁed persons in order to avoid a hazard. • The appliance is not to be used if it

has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. A small vent-

ing hole in the watertank lid may allow a few drops of water to exit the appliance if the

appliance is completely ﬂat or even upside down. • Do not abuse the power cord.

Never carry the appliance by the cord. • Keep the power cord away from hot surfac-

es and sharp edges. • Unplug the power cord from the socket before storing the ap-

pliance. • Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than those speciﬁed

in this manual. • In an emergency situation contact professional help immediately!

 If the home security circuit breaker activates whilst using the appliance, discon-

tinue product immediately and contact the customer support centre (beware of the

risk of electrical shock).

SERVICE

• Do not use the appliance if any part of the power cord or plug is damaged or defec-

tive. • Repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a suitably qualiﬁed person

in accordance with relevant safety regulations. Repairs by unqualiﬁed persons could

be dangerous and will void warranty. • Never modify the appliance in any way as this

may increase the risk of personal injury. • Only use replacement parts or accesso-

ries provided or recommended by Vileda.

SAFETY DEVICES

Safety devices protect the user and must not be modiﬁed or bypassed.

Safety thermostat

The safety thermostat turns oﬀ the appliance if the boiler thermostat fails and the ap-

pliance overheats in case of a malfunction. Please contact your local Vileda Custom-

er Service in case of any problem.

ASSEMBLY

• Before attempting any of the following operations, make sure that the appliance is unplugged and cold. Slide the handle into the main section of the appliance

until it clicks into place. Slide the frame part into the main section of the appliance until it clicks into place. Place a cleaning pad on the floor with the Velour

side facing up. • Lightly press the appliance down onto the cleaning pad. • Never use the appliance without first attaching a cleaning pad.

PAD REMOVAL

• Be sure that the appliance is not plugged into the electrical socket and not in action whilst removing the cleaning pad. • Wait until the pad cools down before re-

moving.• Remove the pad from the frame carefully pulling the pad away with hands. Danger! Hot water may drip out of the accessory parts while you are detaching

them! Never detach accessory parts or pad while STEAM PLUS streams out - risk of scalding!

FILLING THE WATER TANK

Note: Fill the water tank with clean tap water or distilled water ONLY (suggested in case of hard tap water - do not add detergent). Remove the water tank cap by

turning anti-clockwise. Fill the tank with water until the tank is visibly full. Warning! Tank capacity is 0.4 litres. Do not fill the tank above the maximum capacity.

Fit the filler cap by turning it firmly clockwise. • Ensure the filler cap is firmly secured.

OPERATION

When the water tank is correctly filled and the water tank is correctly closed, you can start using your Vileda STEAM PLUS. Insert the plug into the electricity

socket. Turn the rotatory button placed on the front side of the appliance to the ON position. The Vileda STEAM PLUS will now start heating up the water inside

the tank. •The LED on the front side will be white blinking, this means that the appliance is now heating the water. It takes 15 seconds for the water inside the

product to heat up and reach the working temperature. When its is ready the White LED will be steady. Regulate the desired volume of STEAM PLUS using the

selector switch (see next chapter). Start using your Vileda STEAM PLUS! • Turn unit off by turning rotatory button to OFF position. • Disconnect the mains plug

from the socket to turn off the appliance. Vileda STEAM PLUS allows to kill up to 99.9% of E.coli Bacterium and Viruses (please refer to hygienic cleaning section),

as tested in an external lab.The fast heat function will trigger when you switch off the unit and switch on again within 5 mins. It will heat up to working temperature

without waiting.

ADJUSTING THE STEAM QUANTITY

Use the rotatory switch located above the water tank to regulate the volume of Steam. The selector switch has three positions:

MAX

Maximum steam volume. (recommended for tiles) -

MID

Middle steam volume. (recommended for carpet) -

MIN

Minimum steam volume (recom-

mended for delicate floors, like sealed parquet or sealed laminate).Set the STEAM PLUS volume selector to the required STEAM PLUS volume. Whilst operating

the STEAM PLUS volume selector, always have the appliance in an upright position with a pad on the base of the product.

REFILLING THE WATER TANK

/ Water needs to be re-filled into the tank, if the STEAM PLUS volume decreases during use and no more STEAM PLUS is emitted in the end. The LED will blink

fast 1) Turn the unit off by bringen the STEAM PLUS regulator to the OFF position (counter clockwise rotation). 2) Remove the water tank cap by turning counter-

clockwise. 3) Fill the tank with a maximum of 0.4 litres of water. 4) Screw the safety cap back onto the device. If the device is not re-filled in time, the device starts

generating a louder sound (different from standard). Using the product with an empty tank may activate the ‘self-protection mode’ and the LED will signal. In this

self-protection mode, the device cannot be used until the LED lights up white.

HOW TO USE THE CARPET GLIDER

The Carpet Glider accessory allows you to refresh your carpets with the hygienic power of STEAM PLUS. 1) Place a cleaning pad on the floor with the Velour side

facing up. 2) Lightly press the appliance down onto the cleaning pad. 3) Place the carpet glider accessory under the appliance frame with cleaning pad. 4)

Gently push the appliance down on the carpet glider accessory to attach it to the frame. 5) Be sure to follow the FILLING THE WATER TANK and the OPERATIONAL

processes mentioned in the previous chapters. 6) Start refreshing your carpets with the Vileda Carpet Glider accessory, pushing the mop and glider in a forward

and backward motion. 7) When you have finished refreshing your carpet or rug, unplug the STEAM PLUS mop and remove the carpet glider following the below

precautions: • Always turn the unit off by turning the STEAM PLUS regulator counter clockwise into the OFF position before removing the carpet glider. • Be sure

that the tool is not plugged into the electrical socket and not in action whilst removing the carpet glider or the pad. • Wait until the carpet glider and pad cools down

before removing. • Remove the carpet glider from the frame by carefully pulling the cool carpet glider away with hands. Hot water may drip out of the acDanger! -

cessory parts while you are detaching them! Never detach accessory parts or pad while STEAM PLUS streams out - risk of scalding! • Always vacuum the carpet

thoroughly before using the STEAM PLUS mop.

HOW TO STORE

14 The handle can be removed from the appliance for easy storage as follow: (a) When start wrapping the cord around the upper and lower cord holder make sure there is

additional cord available for pulling out the handle. ATTENTION: Please use the sticker as reference for the first loop. It must be at the position of the upper cord holder (b) press

the tube release button placed on back of the appliance. and pull the handle out of the main appliance section. (c) Slide the upper cord holder of the handle into the fixation on

the back of the appliance.

HYGIENIC TREATMENT OF PAD

To hygienically treat the pad (destroying up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses) please follow the below instruction at the end of your cleaning process:

1. Put the appliance onto an area of the floor that can sustain high temperatures (for instance ceramic tiles). In case of doubts we recommend to check the use and

care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

2. Regulate the STEAM PLUS regulator to the maximum level.

3. STEAM PLUS without moving for 1min.

4. Switch off the appliance and let it cool down before you remove the pad to let it dry.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAD WASHING

LIMESCALE REMOVAL

If the product begins to produce STEAM PLUS more slowly than usual or stops producing STEAM PLUS you may need to remove limescale. Limescale can develop

over time on the metal parts and affect product performance. We recommend removing limescale on a regular basis especially in areas with hard tap water. The

frequency of limescale removal depends upon the hardness of your tap water and how often you use the product.

Recommended procedure to remove limescale from the appliance:

1. Prepare a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 tap water and insert it into the water tank (approximately: 135 ml white vinegar and 265 ml water).

2. Place the STEAM PLUS Mop in a way that the STEAM PLUS released from the appliance is not reaching the floor, objects or persons.

3. Plug in the unit, turn on the appliance using the STEAM PLUS regulator and put it into max STEAM PLUS rate position.

4. Wait until all the vinegar/water solution is used up by the appliance.

5. Repeat the above procedure as many times as necessary until a normal STEAM PLUS flow rate is achieved.

6. Fill the water tank with fresh water, attach to the unit and release STEAM PLUS through the system until the water tank is empty.

Note: after each limescale removal procedure, p1-we recommend to perform a test using the appliance to clean a suitable isolated floor area, to ensure that there

is no debris left in the appliance.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PRODUCT RECYCLING

• The Vileda Plus is subject to the Waste Electrical EU directive 2012/19/EU and for GB to the Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013, covering electrical and

electronic appliances and the management of its disposal. • The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and marked with the recycling symbol. Follow local

regulations for scrapping. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of the reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous. •

When the product has reached the end of its life please do not dispose of it with general household waste. • This marking indicates that this product should not

be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal,

recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact

the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

incastrare il cavo sotto le porte; non tirare il cavo intorno ad angoli taglienti e tener-

lo lontano da superﬁci calde. Veriﬁcare che l’apparecchio non sia danneggiato pri-

ma dell’uso. • Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in uno spazio chiuso pieno di vapori de-

rivanti da diluenti per vernici derivati del petrolio, da sostanze anti-tarme, da polveri

inﬁammabili, o altri vapori tossici o esplosivi.  Attenzione! Non usare su legno non

sigillato o su pavimenti in laminato non sigillati. Su superﬁci che sono state trattate

con vernice, cera o anche su alcuni pavimenti non cerati, la lucentezza può essere

rimossa dal calore. Si raccomanda di testare sempre una zona isolata della superﬁ-

cie da pulire, prima di procedere sull’intera area. Non lasciare il prodotto in funzione

fermo sul pavimento, mantenerlo sempre in movimento. Non lasciare mai il prodotto

con il panno in microﬁbra caldo ed umido a contatto con il pavimento dopo l’uso, fat-

ta eccezione per la pulizia igienica dei panni, come descritto di seguito nella sezio-

ne PULIZIA IGIENICA. Si raccomanda inoltre di consultare prima le istruzioni per l’u-

so e la manutenzione del fornitore del pavimento.  Pericolo! Non inserire mai so-

stanze inﬁammabili, aromatiche, alcoliche o detergenti nel contenitore dell’acqua,

perché potrebbero danneggiare l’apparecchio o renderlo non sicuro all’uso.  L’ap-

parecchio emette vapore molto caldo. Questo signiﬁca che l’area intorno all’eroga-

tore e al panno diventa molto calda durante l’uso.  Attenzione! Indossare sempre

scarpe adatte quando si utilizza il prodotto e quando si cambiano gli accessori di Vi-

leda STEAM PLUS. Non indossare ciabatte o scarpe aperte. Non aprire il tappo 

del serbatoio dell’acqua quando l’apparecchio è collegato alla presa elettrica e ﬁno

a quando non si è raﬀreddato. • Aprire il serbatoio solo quando il prodotto è in posi-

zione verticale e stabile. Chiudere attentamente il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua 

dopo averlo riempito o rabboccato con acqua, girando il tappo di 90° in senso ora-

rio ﬁno alla posizione di chiusura. • Usare solo per la pulizia dei pavimenti; non usare

il prodotto capovolto. Questo apparecchio è destinato esclusivamente ad un utilizzo

domestico e da interni. • Non utilizzare in piscine contenenti acqua. • Staccare l’ap-

parecchio dalla presa di corrente e lasciarlo raﬀreddare prima di pulirlo. • Quando

non viene utilizzato, l’apparecchio dovrebbe essere conservato in un luogo asciut-

to, in posizione verticale. • Tenere l’apparecchio lontano dalla portata dei bambini.

• Staccare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente ed attendere che si raﬀreddi pri-

ma di eﬀettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione. L’apparecchio deve essere

scollegato dopo l’uso e prima di eseguire qualsiasi manutenzione sull’apparecchio.

• L’apparecchio non deve essere usato in aree dove sono presenti rischi di esplosio-

ne. • Il prodotto non deve essere usato per pulire elettrodomestici come forno, sca-

richi, micro-onde, televisori, impianti di riscaldamento, asciugacapelli, impianti elet-

trici, ecc.• Non toccare mai il getto di vapore con le mani. • Non cercate mai di apri-

re il prodotto, per es. svitando o togliendo le viti.

• La destinazione d’uso è descritta in questo manuale. L’uso di qualsiasi ricambio o

accessorio o lo svolgimento di qualsiasi operazione con questo apparecchio diver-

si da quelli raccomandati in questo manuale di istruzioni può presentare un rischio

di infortuni. Questo apparecchio non può essere utilizzato da bambini di età inferiore

ai 14 anni né dalle persone con ridotte capacità ﬁsiche, sensoriali o mentali. I bam-

bini devono essere sorvegliati, per assicurarsi che non giochino con l’apparecchio.

La pulizia e la manutenzione del prodotto non devono essere eseguite dai bambi-

ni. Tenere l’apparecchio fuori dalla portata dei bambini. • È vietato qualsiasi utilizzo

del prodotto non espressamente indicato nel presente manuale. L’uso improprio del

prodotto potrebbe infatti essere fonte di rischi anche gravi per la sicurezza di perso-

ne, animali o beni.

PARTE ELETTRICA

• L’apparecchio deve essere collegato esclusivamente ad impianti di fornitura dell’e-

nergia elettrica conformi alla legislazione vigente ed installati in conformità alla nor-

mativa tecnica vigente (IEC 60364). L’apparecchio deve essere collegato solo alla

corrente alternata. Il voltaggio deve corrispondere con quanto indicato sulla targhet-

ta posta sull’apparecchio. • L’apparecchio deve essere utilizzato solo con il cavo di

alimentazione dato in dotazione con l’apparecchio. • Prima dell’uso, controllare che

l’apparecchio non abbia danni o parti difettose. • Prima dell’uso controllare regolar-

mente che il cavo di alimentazione dell’apparecchio non abbia segni di danni o de-

terioramento. Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, deve essere sostituito dal

produttore, dal suo servizio di assistenza o da una persona adeguatamente quali-

ﬁcata conformemente alle vigenti norme di sicurezza al ﬁne di evitare un pericolo.

• L’apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato se è caduto, se ci sono segni visibili di

danni o se perde acqua. Un piccolo foro di sﬁato nel coperchio del serbatoio dell’ac-

qua può consentire la fuoriuscita di alcune gocce d’acqua dall’apparecchio se l’ap-

parecchio è completamente orizzontale oppure capovolto.• Non maltrattare il cavo

di alimentazione. Non trascinare l’apparecchio per il cavo. • Tenere il cavo di alimen-

norme di sicurezza. Le riparazioni eseguite da personale non qualiﬁcato potrebbero

essere pericolose e invalideranno la garanzia. • Non modiﬁcare mai in alcun modo

l’apparecchio. Qualsiasi modiﬁca potrebbe aumentare il rischio di danni e infortuni.

• Utilizzare solo parti di ricambio o accessori forniti o consigliati da Vileda.

DISPOSITIVI DI SICUREZZA

I dispositivi di sicurezza proteggono l’utilizzatore del prodotto e non devono essere

modiﬁcati o manomessi.

Termostato di sicurezza

Il termostato di sicurezza spegne l’apparecchio in caso di malfunzionamento se il

termostato della caldaia non funziona e l’apparecchio si surriscalda troppo. Contat-

tare il servizio clienti Vileda (Numero verde 800-074-500) nel caso in cui si veriﬁcas-

se qualsiasi tipo di problema.

ASSEMBLAGGIO E RIMOZIONE DEL PANNO

•Prima di effettuare le seguenti operazioni, verificate che l’apparecchio sia scollegato dalla corrente e freddo. Inserire il manico nel corpo principale dell’ap-

parecchio fino a quando non si sente un ‟click”. Agganciare la piastra al corpo principale dell’apparecchio fino a quando non si sente un ‟click”. Posizionare

il panno di pulizia sul pavimento con il lato con il velcro rivolto verso l’alto. • Premere leggermente la piastra sul panno • Non usare mai l’apparecchio senza prima

RIMOZIONE DEL PANNO DI PULIZIA

• Assicurarsi che l’apparecchio non sia collegato alla presa elettrica e non sia in funzione durante la rimozione del panno di pulizia. • Attendere che il panno si

raffreddi prima di rimuoverlo • Rimuovere il panno dalla piastra, tirandolo delicatamente con le mani. Pericolo! Quando si staccano i componenti accessori può

gocciolare dell’acqua calda! Non staccare mai i componenti accessori o il panno mentre fuoriesce il vapore - c’è il rischio di scottature e ustioni!

RIEMPIRE IL SERBATOIO DELL’ ACQUA

Nota: Riempire il serbatoio SOLO con acqua del rubinetto o acqua distillata (suggerita in caso di acqua particolarmente dura). Svitare il tappo del serbatoio gi-

randolo in senso antiorario. Riempire il serbatoio con acqua fino a che il serbatoio risulta pieno. Attenzione! La capacità del serbatoio è di 0,4 litri. Non riempire

il serbatoio oltre la capacità massima. Chiudere saldamente il tappo girando in senso orario. • Assicurarsi che il tappo sia chiuso saldamente.

COME UTILIZZARE IL PRODOTTO

Quando il serbatoio dell’acqua è riempito correttamente e correttamente chiuso, è possibile iniziare ad utilizzare Vileda STEAM PLUS. Inserire la spina nella

presa di corrente. Girare l’interruttore rotante posto sul fronte dell’apparecchio in posizione ON. Vileda STEAM PLUS inizierà ora a riscaldare l’acqua all’interno

del serbatoio. • L’indicatore luminoso posto sul fronte lampeggierà di colore bianco, questo significa che l’apparecchio sta scaldando l’acqua. Occorrono circa 15

secondi perchè l’acqua si riscaldi e raggiunga la temperatura di funzionamento. Quando sarà pronto l’indicatore luminoso sarà fisso di colore bianco. Regolare

il getto di vapore desiderato utilizzando il regolatore (vedere sezione successiva) Ora potete pulire con il vostro Vileda STEAM PLUS! • Spegnere l’unità girando

l’interruttore rotante sulla posizione OFF. • Scollegare la spina dalla presa di corrente per spegnere l’apparecchio. Vileda STEAM PLUS elimina fino al 99,9% di

virus e batterio E. coli (fare riferimento alla sezione sulla pulizia igienica), come testato in un laboratorio terzo ed indipendente. La funzione di riscaldamento rapido

si attiva quando si spegne l’unità e si riaccende entro 5 minuti. Si riscalderà fino alla temperatura di lavoro senza aspettare.

REGOLAZIONE DELLA QUANTITA’ DI VAPORE

Utilizzare il regolatore posizionato sopra il serbatoio dell’acqua per regolare il getto di vapore. Il regolatore ha tre posizioni:

di vapore, tenere sempre l’apparecchio in posizione verticale con il panno applicato alla base del prodotto.

RABBOCCARE IL SERBATOIO DELL’ACQUA

/ Il serbatoio dell’acqua va rabboccato nel caso in cui il volume di vapore diminuisca durante l’uso e tenda ad esaurirsi. L’indicatore luminoso lampeggerà

velocemente 1) Spegnere l’unità portando il regolatore di vapore in posizione OFF (rotazione in senso antiorario). 2) Rimuovere il tappo del serbatoio dell’acqua

ruotandolo in senso antiorario. 3) Riempire il serbatoio con un massimo di 0,4 litri di acqua. 4) Riavvitare il tappo di sicurezza al dispositivo. Se il dispositivo non

viene ricaricato in tempo, il dispositivo inizia a generare un suono più forte (diverso dallo standard). L’utilizzo del prodotto con un serbatoio vuoto può attivare la

“modalità di autoprotezione” e l’indicatore luminoso lo segnalerà. In questa modalità di autoprotezione, il dispositivo non può essere utilizzato finché l’indicatore

luminoso non si illumina di bianco.

COME USARE L’ACCESSORIO PER I TAPPETI

L’accessorio per i tappeti consente di rinfrescare tutti i tappeti con il potere igienizzante del vapore. 1) Appoggiare il panno sul pavimento con il lato con il velcro ri-

volto verso l’alto 2) Premere delicatamente la piastra dell’apparecchio sopra il panno 3) Appoggiare l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti sotto la piastra a cui è

applicato il panno. 4) Premere delicatamente l’apparecchio sull’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti ﬁno a che non sia agganciato alla piastra. 5) Assicurarsi di

seguire i processi di RIEMPIMENTO DEL SERBATOIO ACQUA e OPERATIVI menzionati nei capitoli precedenti. 6) Iniziare a pulire i tappeti con l’accessorio per la

pulizia dei tappeti Vileda, muovendo l’apparecchio avanti e indietro. 7) Quando avete ﬁnito di rinfrescare il tappeto o la moquette, scollegate l’apparecchio e ri-

muovete l’accessorio per i tappeti seguendo le precauzioni riportate di seguito: • Spegnere sempre l’unità ruotando il regolatore del vapore in senso antiorario in

posizione OFF prima di rimuovere l’accessorio per tappeti.• Assicurarsi sempre che l’apparecchio non sia collegato alla presa di corrente elettrica e non sia in fun-

zione quando si rimuove l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti o il panno.• Attendere che sia l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti che il panno siano freddi prima di

rimuoverli• Rimuovete l’accessorio per la pulizia dei tappeti dalla piastra quando è freddo tirandolo delicatamente con le mani.  Pericolo! Quando si staccano

i componenti accessori può gocciolare dell’acqua calda! Non staccare mai i componenti accessori o il panno mentre fuoriesce il vapore - c’è il rischio di scottatu-

re e ustioni!• Passare sempre l’aspirapolvere sul tappeto prima di utilizzare Vileda STEAM PLUS.

COME RIPORRE IL PRODOTTO

14 Il manico può essere rimosso dall'apparecchio per riporlo facilmente come segue: (a) Quando si inizia ad avvolgere il cavo attorno al fermacavo superiore e inferiore,

assicurarsi che ci sia del cavo in eccesso per estrarre la maniglia. ATTENZIONE: Utilizzare l'adesivo come riferimento per il primo giro. L'adesivo deve trovarsi nella posizione

del fermacavo superiore (b) Premere il pulsante di rilascio del tubo posto sul retro dell'apparecchio ed estrarre il manico dalla sezione principale dell'apparecchio. (c) Inserire il

fermacavo superiore nell'apposito incavo sul retro dell'apparecchio.

TRATTAMENTO IGIENICO DEL PANNO DI PULIZIA

Per trattare igienicamente il panno (distruggendo fino al 99,9% di batteri e virus), segui le istruzioni seguenti al termine del processo di pulizia:

1. Posizionare l’apparecchio su un’area del pavimento che può sopportare temperature elevate (ad esempio piastrelle di ceramica). In caso di dubbi si consiglia di

controllare le istruzioni per l’uso e la cura del produttore del pavimento.

2. Regolare il regolatore del vapore al massimo livello

3. Azionare il vapore senza muoversi per 1 minuto

4. Spegnere l’apparecchio e lasciarlo raffreddare prima di rimuovere il panno per farlo asciugare

ISTRUZIONI PER IL LAVAGGIO DEL PANNO

• I panni possono essere lavati in lavatrice a 60°. • Non usare ammorbidente poiché può influire sulle prestazioni del panno. • Composizione del panno:

91% Poliestere, 9% Altro.

RISOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI

Se avete dei dubbi o se il guasto non è elencato qui di seguito si prega di contattare il servizio clienti. Staccare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente e aspettare

che l’apparecchio si raffreddi prima di eseguire qualsiasi lavoro di manutenzione. Le riparazioni possono essere effettuate solo da un tecnico o da una persona

adeguatamente qualificata conformemente alle vigenti norme di sicurezza. Se non fuoriesce più vapore e l’indicatore luminoso inizia a lampeggiare, controllare

il livello dell’acqua all’interno del serbatoio e seguire le istruzioni descritte nel capitolo “Riempire il serbatoio dell’acqua”. Se ancora non fuoriesce il vapore,

può essere necessario pulire l’apparecchio dal calcare. In questo caso, seguire le istruzioni descritte nel capitolo “Rimuovere il calcare”. Servizio clienti Vileda:

RIMUOVERE IL CALCARE

Se l’apparecchio inizia a emettere vapore più lentamente del solito o smette di emettere vapore può essere necessario rimuovere il calcare. Il calcare può svi-

lupparsi nel corso del tempo sulle parti metalliche e influire sulle prestazioni del prodotto. Si consiglia di rimuovere il calcare regolarmente soprattutto nei casi

in cui l’acqua di rubinetto che si utilizza è dura. La frequenza di rimozione del calcare dipende dalla durezza dell’acqua utilizzata e dalla frequenza di utilizzo

dell’apparecchio.

Procedura raccomandata per rimuovere il calcare dall’apparecchio:

1. Preparare una soluzione con 1/3 di aceto bianco e 2/3 di acqua di rubinetto e inserirla nel serbatoio dell’acqua (circa: 135 ml di aceto bianco e 265 ml di acqua).

2. Posizionare il prodotto in modo che il vapore rilasciato dall’apparecchio non raggiunga il pavimento, persone, animali o oggetti.

3. Collegare l'unità, accendere l'apparecchio utilizzando il regolatore di vapore e metterlo in posizione di massima intensità di vapore.

4. Attendere che tutta la soluzione di aceto/acqua venga utilizzata dall’apparecchio.

5. Ripetere la procedura se necessario fino a quando il flusso di vapore diventa regolare.

6. Riempire il serbatoio con acqua fresca, collegare l’apparecchio e rilasciare il vapore fino a quando il serbatoio è vuoto.

Nota: dopo ogni procedura di rimozione del calcare, si consiglia di effettuare un test utilizzando l’apparecchio per pulire una superficie idonea isolata, al fine di

assicurarsi che non siano rimasti detriti nell’apparecchio.

während des Gebrauchs des Geräts und des Austauschs des Zubehörs Ihres Vileda

STEAM PLUS stets angemessenes Schuhwerk. Tragen Sie keine Hausschuhe oder

oﬀene Schuhe.  Öﬀnen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters nicht, wenn das Gerät

mit dem Stromnetz verbunden ist oder sofort nach vollständiger Erhitzung des Was-

sers. • Öﬀnen Sie den Wasserbehälter nur wenn das Produkt aufrecht und sicher

steht.  Schließen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters gründlich nach Befüllung, in-

dem Sie sie um 90 Grad im Uhrzeigersinn bis zur „geschlossenen Position“ drehen.

• Nur für den Boden zu verwenden; nutzen Sie das Gerät nicht auf dem Kopf ste-

hend. Dieses Gerät ist lediglich für den Innengebrauch. Nutzen Sie das Gerät nicht

in Swimmingpools, in denen sich Wasser beﬁndet. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vor der

Säuberung vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie es vorher abkühlen. • Bewahren Sie das

Gerät an einem trockenen Platz in aufrechter Position auf. • Bewahren Sie das Ge-

rät außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vor der War-

tung vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie es vorher abkühlen. • Das Gerät sollte nicht dort

verwendet werden, wo ein Explosionsrisiko besteht. • Das Gerät sollte nicht für die

Reinigung von Elektrogeräten wie Ofen, Dunstabzug, Microwellen, Fernsehgeräten,

Haartrocknern, elektrischen Heizungen, etc. verwendet werden. • Berühren Sie die

Dampfdüse nie mit den Händen. • Versuchen Sie nie das Produkt zu öﬀnen, indem

Sie z.B. die Schrauben lösen.

 PERSÖNLICHE SICHERHEIT

• In diesem Handbuch wird die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung beschrieben. Die

Verwendung von Zubehör oder Anbauteilen, die nicht in der Gebrauchsanweisung

empfohlen werden, sowie die unsachgemäße Bedienung des Gerätes können zu

Verletzungen führen. Dieses Gerät kann von Personen mit verringerten physischen,

 ELEKTRISCHE SICHERHEIT

IEC 60364 installiert worden ist. Das Gerät darf nur an Wechselstrom angeschlos-

sen werden. Die Spannung muss mit dem Typenschild auf dem Gerät übereinstim-

men. • Das Gerät darf nur mit dem mitgelieferten Kabel betrieben werden. • Prüfen

Sie das Gerät vor Gebrauch auf Beschädigungen. • Prüfen Sie das Kabel vor Ge-

brauch auf Zeichen von Beschädigungen. Sollte das Kabel beschädigt sein, muss es

durch den Hersteller, dem Kundendienst oder einer entsprechend qualiﬁzierten Per-

son gemäß der Sicherheitsvorschriften ersetzt werden. • Das Gerät sollte nicht ge-

nutzt werden, wenn es fallen gelassen wurde, wenn es sichtbare Schäden gibt oder

falls es leckt. Wenn das Gerät ﬂach oder auf dem Kopf steht, können durch ein klei-

nes Entlüftungsloch im Wassertankdeckel einige wenige Tropfen Wasser aus dem

Gerät austreten.• Nutzen Sie das Stromkabel nicht für nicht vorgesehene Anwen-

dungen. Tragen Sie das Gerät nie am Kabel. • Halten Sie das Stromkabel von hei-

ßen Oberﬂächen und scharfen Kanten fern. • Trennen Sie das Kabel vom Stromnetz

bevor Sie das Gerät verstauen • Entfernen oder ersetzen Sie nie Teile, die nicht im

Handbuch ausdrücklich benannt sind. • In Notfällen kontaktieren Sie sofort profes-

SCHUTZVORRICHTUNGEN

Schutzvorrichtungen schützen den Anwender und dürfen nicht verändert oder um-

geleitet/überbrückt werden.

SICHERHEITSTHERMOSTAT

Der Sicherheitsthermostat schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab, wenn der Thermostat

des Boilers versagt und das Gerät aufgrund einer Störung überhitzt. Bitte kontaktie-

ren Sie im Falle eines Problems den Vileda Kundenservice.

AUFBAUANLEITUNG UND ANBRINGUNG DES WISCHBEZUGES

• Bevor Sie eine der folgenden Schritte durchführen, stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät nicht am Stromnetz angeschlossen und abgekühlt ist. Schieben Sie

den Stiel in den Gerätekörper bis Sie ein Klicken hören. Schieben Sie den Dampffuß in den Gerätekörper bis Sie ein Klicken hören. Legen Sie einen Vileda

ENTFERNUNG DES WISCHBEZUGES

• Vor dem Entfernen des Wischbezuges, müssen Sie sicherstellen, dass das Gerät nicht mit dem Stromnetz verbunden und nicht in Benutzung ist. • Warten Sie

bis der Wischbezug abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie ihn entfernen. • Entfernen Sie durch vorsichtiges Ziehen mit den Händen den Wischbezug vom Gerät. • Achtung:

Entfernen Sie niemals das Zubehör oder den Wischbezug während Dampf aus dem Gerät austritt: Verbrühungsrisiko!

BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS

Anmerkung: Bitte befüllen Sie den Wasserbehälter NUR mit sauberen Leitungswasser oder idealerweise bei hartem Leitungswasser mit destilliertem Wasser.

Geben Sie kein Reinigungsmittel hinzu. Entfernen Sie die Kappe des Wasserbehälters durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Füllen Sie Wasser in den Was-

serbehälter bis Sie den Wasserspiegel sehen. Warnung! Die Kapazität des Wasserbehälters beträgt 400ml. Befüllen Sie den Behälter nicht über diese Grenze

hinaus. Setzen Sie die Verschlusskappe auf den Behälter und befestigen Sie diese durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn • Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Wasserbe-

hälter sicher verschlossen ist.

ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES

Sobald der Wasserbehälter korrekt gefüllt und verschlossen ist, ist der Vileda STEAM PLUS einsatzbereit. Verbinden Sie das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz. Stellen

Sie das Gerät an, indem Sie den Dampfregler auf der Vorderseite auf die erste Dampfstufe einstellen. Der Vileda STEAM PLUS heizt nun das Wasser im Was-

serbehälter auf. • Das LED-Licht auf der Vorderseite des Geräts blinkt beim Erhitzen des Wassers weiß auf: Es dauert 15 Sekunden um das Wasser im Tank auf

Betriebstemperatur aufzuheizen. Sobald das Gerät bereit ist, leuchtet das weiße LED-Licht konstant. Regulieren Sie je nach Wunsch die Stärke des Dampfaus-

stoßes (mehr Details entnehmen Sie dem nächsten Kapitel) Jetzt können Sie mit dem Vileda STEAM PLUS reinigen! • Stellen Sie das Gerät ab, indem Sie den

Dampfregler auf der Vorderseite auf “OFF” einstellen. • Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz. Der Vileda STEAM PLUS tötet bis zu 99,9% der Bakterien und Viren

(siehe Abschnitt HYGIENISCHE BEHANDLUNG DES WISCHBEZUGES). Dies wurde in einem externen, unabhängigen Labor geprüft.

Die Schnellheizfunktion wird ausgelöst, wenn Sie das Gerät ausschalten und innerhalb von 5 Minuten wieder einschalten. So heizt das Gerät ohne Wartezeit auf

Betriebstemperatur auf.

EINSTELLUNG DES DAMPFAUSSTOSSES

Zur Regulierung der Dampfmenge nutzen Sie den Dampfregler über dem Wasserbehälter. Der Regler ermöglicht drei Einstellungen:

MAX

1. Maximales Dampfvolumen (empfohlen für Fliesen)

MID

2. Mittleres Dampfvolumen (empfohlen für Teppiche)

MIN

3. Minimales Dampfvolumen

(empfohlen für empfindliche Böden, wie versiegeltes Parkett und Laminat). Stellen Sie den Regler auf das gewünschte Dampfvolumen. Stellen Sie dabei sicher,

dass das Gerät aufrecht steht und sich ein Wischbezug unter dem Gerät befindet.

NACHFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS

/ Sollten Sie bei der Benutzung des Gerätes merken, dass der Dampfausstoß nachlässt oder überhaupt kein Dampf mehr ausgestoßen wird, muss Wasser

nachgefüllt werden. Dies erkennen Sie auch am Blinken der LED-Anzeige. 1) Stellen Sie das Gerät ab, indem Sie den Dampfregler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn auf

„OFF“ stellen. 2) Öffnen Sie den Wasserbehälter durch Drehen der Verschlusskappe gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. 3) Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit maximal

400ml Wasser. 4) Verschließen Sie den Wasserbehälter durch Drehen der Verschlusskappe im Uhrzeigersinn. Sollte das Wasser nicht rechtzeitig nachgefüllt

werden, ertönt ein klopfendes Geräusch. Bei Verwendung des Geräts mit einem leeren Tank kann sich automatisch der Schutzmodus aktivieren. Dies wird durch

das LED-Licht signalisiert. Eine Nutzung des Gerätes ist erst dann wieder möglich, wenn die LED wieder weiß aufleuchtet.

BENUTZUNG DES TEPPICHGLEITERS

Mit dem Teppichgleiter können Sie den Vileda STEAM PLUS auch auf Ihren Teppichen anwenden und diese mit der hygienischen Wirkung des Dampfes auffri-

schen. 1)Legen Sie einen Vileda STEAM PLUS Wischbezug mit der glatten Seite nach oben auf den Boden. 2) Drücken Sie das Gerät mit leichtem Druck auf den

Wischbezug. 3)Platzieren Sie den dreieckigen Teppichgleiter auf den Boden. 4) Setzen Sie das Gerät in den Teppichgleiter und drücken Sie es leicht nach un-

ten. 5) Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie die vorher beschriebenen Schritte zum BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS und der ANWENDUNG DES GERÄTES befolgen.

6) Jetzt können Sie mit der Benutzung des Teppichgleiters auf Ihren Teppichen beginnen – bewegen Sie dafür das Gerät vor und zurück. 7) Nach der Benutzung

trennen Sie das Gerät bitte vom Stromnetz und entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter. Bitte beachten Sie dabei die folgenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen: • Vor dem Ent-

fernen des Teppichgleiters müssen Sie das Gerät ausstellen, indem Sie den Dampfregler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn auf „OFF“ stellen. • Stellen Sie sicher, dass

das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt und nicht in Nutzung ist, wenn Sie den Teppichgleiter oder den Wischbezug vom Gerät entfernen. • Warten Sie bis das Gerät

abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie den Teppichgleiter und/oder den Wischbezug entfernen. • Entfernen Sie den Teppichgleiter durch vorsichtiges Ziehen mit den Händen. •

Achtung! Bei Abnahme des Zubehörs ist es möglich, dass heißes Wasser daraus tropft. Entfernen Sie niemals das Zubehör oder den Wischbezug während Dampf

aus dem Gerät austritt: Verbrühungsrisiko! • Bitte reinigen Sie Ihre Teppiche gründlich mit einem Staubsauger bevor Sie den Vileda STEAM PLUS benutzen.

EINFACHES VERSTAUEN

14 Zum einfachen Verstauen kann der Stiel vom Gerät wie folgt abgenommen werden: (a) Befestigen Sie das Kabel an der markierten Stelle (Aufkleber) am Klipp unterhalb der

oberen Kabelhalterung (siehe Abb. 14). So bleibt genügend Spielraum zum Herausziehen des Stiels. Wickeln Sie nun das restliche Kabel um die untere und obere Kabelhalterung.

(b) Drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf auf der Rückseite des Geräts und ziehen Sie den Griff aus dem Gehäuse des Geräts heraus. (c) Schieben Sie die obere Kabelhalterung

des Stiels in die dafür vorgesehene Öffnung auf der Rückseite des Geräts.

HYGIENISCHE BEHANDLUNG DES WISCHBEZUGES

Für die hygienische Behandlung des Wischbezuges befolgen Sie bitte am Ende des Reinigungsvorgangs die unten stehenden Schritte. Das 1-minütige Nach-

dampfverfahren tötet bis zu 99,9% der Bakterien und Viren:

1. Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine unempfindliche Bodenfläche, die hohen Temperaturen ausgesetzt werden kann (z. B. Keramikfliesen). Bei Unsicherheit empfeh-

len wir, die Gebrauchs- und Pflegeanweisungen des Bodenherstellers zu prüfen.

2. Stellen Sie den Dampfregler auf die maximale Dampfstufe ein.

3. Lassen Sie den STEAM PLUS eine Minute dampfen, ohne das Gerät zu bewegen.

4. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und lassen Sie es abkühlen, bevor Sie den Wischbezug zum Trocknen entfernen.

HINWEISE ZUR WASCHBARKEIT DES WISCHBEZUGES

• Der STEAM PLUS Wischbezug kann bei 60°C gewaschen werden. • Bitte nutzen Sie keine Weichspüler, da diese die Reinigungsleistung des Wischbezuges beein-

trächtigen können. • Zusammensetzung des Bezuges: 91% Polyester, 9% Andere

PROBLEMLÖSUNGEN

Für weitere Hilfe, wenden Sie sich bitte an den Vileda Kundenservice unter www.vileda.de. Vor jeglichen Wartungsarbeiten stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass das Gerät

vom Stromnetz getrennt und abgekühlt ist. Falls kein Dampf mehr ausgestoßen wird und die LED-Anzeige blinkt, prüfen Sie bitte die Wasserhöhe im Behälter und

folgen Sie den Anweisungen unter BEFÜLLEN DES WASSERBEHÄLTERS. Sollte anschließend immer noch kein Dampf ausgestoßen werden, müsste das Gerät

ggf. entkalkt werden. In diesem Fall folgen Sie bitte den Hinweisen zur ENTKALKUNG DES GERÄTES.

HINWEISE ZUR ENTKALKUNG DES GERÄTES

Falls das Produkt deutlich langsamer oder gar keinen Dampf mehr austößt, kann es notwendig sein, das Gerät zu entkalken. Kalk kann sich im Laufe der Zeit auf

den Metallteilen des Gerätes ablagern und die Funktionsfähigkeit beeinträchtigen. Wir empfehlen Kalkablagerungen regelmäßig zu entfernen, insbesondere

wenn Sie in einer Region mit stark kalkhaltigen Wasser wohnen. Die Häufigkeit in der Kalkablagerungen entfernt werden müssen ist abhängig von der Wasserhärte

und der Häufigkeit mit der Sie das Gerät benutzen.

So können Sie ihr Gerät entkalken:

1. Mischen Sie 1/3 weißen Essig (ca. 135ml) und 2/3 (ca. 265ml) Leitungswasser und füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter des Gerätes.

2. Platzieren Sie den Vileda STEAM PLUS so, dass der Dampf nicht auf empfindliche Oberflächen, Gegenstände oder Personen treffen kann.

3. Verbinden Sie das Gerät mit dem Stromnetz und stellen Sie das Gerät an, indem Sie den Dampfregler auf die maximale Dampfstufe einstellen.

4. Warten Sie bis der Wasserbehälter leer ist.

5. Wiederholen Sie dieses Vorgehen bis der Dampf wieder in der gewohnten Form austritt.

6. Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit frischem Wasser und lassen Sie den Dampf so lange austreten bis der Behälter leer ist.

Anmerkung: Entkalkung des Geräts OHNE Wischbezug ausführen. Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf den Fußboden während des Entkalkens. Stellen Sie das Gerät

während des Entkalkens auf einem termisch- und chemisch-resistenten Untergrund. Wir empfehlen nach der Entkalkung das Gerät an einer unauffälligen Stelle

zu testen, um sicherzustellen, dass keine Kalkrückstände aus dem Gerät austreten.
