ZTE8010RUUpgradeGuide(Through anSDCard)

1. Cautions

The software version and pictures in this document are just for

reference only. Please use ZTE handset support website provided version

to downloadsoftware.

1)Download the upgrade package.

Open http://www.ztedevice.com.cn/support and download the upgrade

package (update.zip) that matches yourphone model. Ifthe

downloaded package is not update.zip, unzip the package to obtain

update.zip.

Ensurethat yourmicroSDcardis atleast 2GB.

NotePlease refer to our current versiondownloadsize：.

2) Remove the SIM card, then backup thedata andAPPsin yourphone

before theupgrade.

3)Perform data backup.

Note: You shouldnotremove theSDcardduring thebackup process. To

avoid datalost,itisnot recommended tocancel the backup process.

4)Verifythat thefile in the root directory of the SD cardupdate.zip

matches the model ofthe phone. Do not modifythefile nameand

extension name of the files inthe upgrade package.

5)Verify that yourphonehas enough(at least 40%)power.Chargethephone

if required.Toavoid data lostor upgrade failure, it isnotrecommendedto

upgrade your phone through an SD card when the phone isbeing charged.

6)You should notperform any otheroperation on the phoneduring the

upgrade process.

7)Anormal upgrade should be completed inminutes. If the phone does10

not rebootorshowany response inminutes, youshould performthe10

upgrade process again. Ifthe phone cannot bestarted, perform aforced

upgrade. Ifthe forced upgrade does not work, you should contact an

after-sale service agent for support.

2.Upgrade Description

There aretwo upgrade methods: normalupgrade and forced upgrade.

If the phone cannotbe started properly, forexample, the phonecannot be

started, or the phone does not enterstandby state,perform a forced upgrade.

Ifthephone can bestarted properlyandthemenucan be selected,Settings

perform a normal upgrade.
