Read before use

This document contains important technical and safety information about the

device, its safety use and installation.

⚠CAUTION! Before beginning the installation, please read carefully and entirely

this guide and any other documents accompanying the device. Failure to follow

the installation procedures could lead to malfunction, danger to your health and

life, violation of law or refusal of legal and/or commercial guarantee (if any).

Allterco Robotics EOOD is not responsible for any loss or damage in case of in-

correct installation or improper operation of this device due to failure of following

the user and safety instructions in this guide.

Product Introduction

Shelly Plus Smoke (the Device) is a smart photoelectric smoke alarm (g.1),

which is effective at detecting slow res that smolder for hours before bursting

into ames. Sources of these res may include cigarettes burning in couches

or bedding.

Features

Battery operated: Replaceable lithium battery helps to extend the lifetime of

smoke alarm.

LED indication: Light ashes approximately every 53 seconds conrming the

smoke alarm is powered and working normally.

Low battery warning: Alarm beeps every 53 seconds when the battery is low.

Alarm pause (Hush mode): Silence your smoke alarm device by momentari-

ly pressing the control button when non-emergency smoke causes nuisance

alarm. The red light ashes every 10 seconds to remind you that the smoke

alarm device has been silenced. The alarm will automatically be reset after 10

minutes, and sound the alarm if particles of combustion are still present.

Test function: Press the control button periodically to check and conrm the

smoke alarm is working normally.

Audible and visible alarm signals: Red light will start ashing quickly and the

buzzer will start beeping, when the detected smoke level reaches the alarm

threshold of the Device.

Easy Installation: Fixings supplied.

Important safety information

⚠CAUTION! The Device should be installed only by a licensed, qualied electri-

cian. Observe and follow all local and national electrical and building regulations

for installation.

⚠CAUTION! Do not remove or disconnect battery to silence unwanted alarms!

This will remove your protection. Open windows or evacuate the air around the

smoke alarm device to silence it.

⚠CAUTION! Test smoke alarm device weekly to ensure proper operation! The

control button accurately tests all smoke alarm device functions. Do not use any

other test method!

⚠CAUTION! This smoke alarm device is not designed to be the primary protec-

tion for buildings that require complete re alarm systems. Buildings of this type

include hotels, motels, dormitories, hospitals, nursing homes, and group homes.

This is true even if they were once single family homes. However, this smoke

alarm device may be used inside individual rooms as supplemental protection.

⚠CAUTION! Smoke alarm devices may not alert every household member

every time. The alarm buzzer is loud in order to alert individuals to a potential

danger. However, there may be limiting circumstances where a household mem-

ber may not hear the alarm (i.e., outdoor or indoor noise, sound sleepers, drug

or alcohol usage, the hard of hearing, etc.). If you suspect that this smoke alarm

device may not alert a household member, install and maintain special smoke

alarm devices. Household members must hear the alarm warning sound and

quickly respond to it to reduce the risk of damage, injury, or death that may result

from re. If a household member is hard of hearing, install special smoke alarm

devices with lights or vibrating devices to alert occupants.

⚠CAUTION! Smoke alarm devices can sound their alarms only when they de-

tect smoke. Smoke alarm devices detect combustion particles in the air. They

do not sense heat, ame, or gas. This smoke alarm device is designed to give

audible warning of a developing re. However, many res are fast-burning, explo-

sive, or intentional. Others are caused by carelessness or safety hazards. Smoke

may not reach the smoke alarm device quickly enough to ensure safe escape.

⚠CAUTION! Smoke alarm devices have limitations. This smoke alarm device is

not foolproof and is not warranted to protect lives or property from re. Smoke

alarm devices are not a substitute for insurance. Homeowners and renters

should insure their lives and property. In addition, it is possible for the smoke

alarm device to fail at any time. For this reason, you must test the smoke alarm

device weekly.

⚠CAUTION! The product is intended for indoor use only.

⚠CAUTION! Protect the product from dirt and moisture! Do not use the product

in a damp environment!

⚠CAUTION! Do not paint over the smoke alarm!

⚠CAUTION! The smoke detector must not be exposed to excessive heat such

as sunshine, re or similar.

⚠CAUTION! Do not disassemble or modify the Device!

⚠CAUTION! Do not cover or tape the smoke inlets and buzzer openings!

⚠CAUTION! Do not allow children to play with the device, especially with the

control button!

Where to locate

As a minimum, smoke alarm devices should be located between sleeping areas

and potential sources of re such as living rooms and kitchens ( ).g.2

In single story homes with one sleeping area, a smoke alarm device should

be installed in the hallway, as close as possible to the living accommodation.

To ensure audibility in bedrooms, no smoke alarm device should be further

away than 3 m / 10 ft from any bedroom door. It may be necessary to install

more than one smoke alarm device, particularly the hallway is more than 15

m / 49 ft long.

In single story homes with two separate sleeping areas, a minimum of two

smoke alarm devices are required, one outside each sleeping area.

In multilevel or split level homes, as a minimum a smoke alarm device should

be installed on the ground oor between the staircase and any room in which a

re might start and on each story in circulation areas which form part of escape

route (normally hallways and landings).

Additional alarms should be installed in bedrooms in anticipation of res

originating here, caused by faulty wiring, lights, appliances, smokers or other

hazards.

For best protection, smoke alarm devices should be installed in every room

in your home, apart from those listed in the Locations to avoid section. Heat

alarms should be used in kitchens, boiler rooms, laundry rooms, garages and

such like, where smoke alarm devices would be unsuitable.

Install smoke alarm devices in circulation areas at a distance no greater than

7.5 m / 25 ft from the farthest wall, no greater than 7.5 m / 25 ft from a door to

any room in which a re might start and no greater than 7.5 m / 25 ft from the

next smoke alarm device.

As it is impossible to predict the source of a re, the best location for an alarm

is usually the center of a room or hallway. If it is necessary to place a smoke

alarm device on a wall, always locate the detection element of the alarm 15 to

30 cm / 6 to 12 in below the ceiling and the bottom of the alarm above the level

of doors and other openings.

In rooms with simple sloped, vaulted or gabled ceiling, install smoke alarm de-

vices on the ceiling 90 cm / 3 ft from the highest point of the ceiling. “Dead-air”

at the peak of a ceiling may prevent the smoke from reaching the alarm in time

to provide an early warning. (g.3)

Relocate the unit if it often gives false alarms. See Locations to avoid.

Locations to avoid

In turbulent air from fans, heaters, doors, windows, etc., which could draw

smoke away from the alarm.

At the peak of an “A” frame ceiling. “Dead-air” at the top may prevent smoke

from reaching the alarm in time to provide early warning.

In insect-infested areas. Tiny insects may affect performance.

In kitchens, boiler rooms, laundry rooms, garages. Combustion particles from

cooking or car exhaust, dust and moisture could trigger a nuisance alarm.

In very dusty or dirty areas. Dirt and dust can build up and impair performance.

Within 30 cm /12 in of light ttings or room corners.

In locations which would make routine testing or maintenance hazardous (e.g.

over a stairwell).

On poorly insulated walls or ceilings.

Within 1.5 m (5 feet) of uorescent light ttings.

Installation

Pull out the plastic isolation tab. (g.4)

Power on the Device by pressing and holding the control button for about 3

seconds. Conrm that the LED indication ashes rapidly, and the buzzer emits

short loud beeps. (g.5)

Select an appropriate location and use the mounting bracket to mark the drilling

points and punch 3 holes in the mounting surface. (g.6)

Insert the 3 anchor plugs in the holes and secure the mounting bracket to the

surface with the help of the 3 screws. (g.7)

Rotate the Device clockwise onto the mounting bracket until you hear a click,

Produktvorstellung

Shelly Plus Smoke (das Gerät) ist ein intelligenter fotoelektrischer Rauch-

warnmelder (Abb. 1), der in der Lage ist, langsame Brände zu erkennen, die

stundenlang schwelen, bevor sie in Flammen aufgehen. Solche Brände können

beispielsweise durch brennende Zigaretten in Sofas oder Bettzeug entstehen.

Funktionen

Batteriebetrieben: Die austauschbare Lithium-Batterie verlängert die Lebens-

dauer des Rauchmelders.

LED-Anzeige: Das Licht blinkt etwa alle 53 Sekunden und bestätigt, dass der

Rauchmelder eingeschaltet ist und normal funktioniert.

Warnung bei niedrigem Batteriestand: Der Alarm ertönt alle 53 Sekunden,

wenn die Batterie fast leer ist.

Alarm-Pause (Hush-Modus): Schalten Sie Ihren Rauchwarnmelder durch kur-

zes Drücken der Bedientaste (B) stumm, wenn Rauch, der kein Notfall ist, einen

Fehlalarm verursacht. Das rote Licht blinkt alle 10 Sekunden, um Sie daran zu

erinnern, dass der Rauchwarnmelder stummgeschaltet wurde. Der Alarm wird

nach 10 Minuten automatisch zurückgesetzt und schlägt Alarm, wenn noch

Rauchpartikel vorhanden sind.

Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise

⚠ACHTUNG! Das Gerät darf nur von einem zugelassenen, qualizierten Elektri-

ker installiert werden. Beachten und befolgen Sie bei der Installation alle lokalen

und nationalen Elektro- und Bauvorschriften.

⚠ACHTUNG! Die Batterie darf nicht entfernt oder abgeklemmt werden, um un-

erwünschte Alarme abzustellen! Dadurch wird Ihr Schutz aufgehoben. Öffnen

Sie die Fenster oder lüften Sie die Umgebung des Rauchwarnmelders, um ihn

abzustellen.

⚠ACHTUNG! Testen Sie den Rauchwarnmelder wöchentlich, um eine einwand-

freie Funktion zu gewährleisten! Mit der Bedientaste (B) werden alle Funktionen

des Rauchwarnmelders genau getestet. Verwenden Sie keine andere Testme-

thode!

⚠ACHTUNG! Dieser Rauchwarnmelder ist nicht als primärer Schutz für Gebäu-

de gedacht, die ein vollständiges Brandmeldesystem erfordern. Zu dieser Art von

Gebäuden gehören Hotels, Motels, Wohnheime, Krankenhäuser, Pegeheime und

Gruppenhäuser. Dies gilt auch dann, wenn es sich um ehemalige Einfamilien-

Rauchwarnmelder wöchentlich testen.

Wo installieren

Rauchwarnmelder für eingeschränkten Schutz

Zusätzliche Rauchwarnmelder für eine bessere Abdeckung

Rauchwarnmelder sollten möglichst zwischen Schlafräumen und potenziellen

Brandherden wie Wohnzimmern und Küchen angebracht werden ( ).Abb.2

In einstöckigen Wohnungen mit einem Schlafbereich sollte ein Rauchwarnmel-

der im Flur installiert werden, und zwar so nah wie möglich am Wohnbereich.

Um die Hörbarkeit in Schlafzimmern zu gewährleisten, sollte kein Rauchwarn-

melder weiter als 3 m von einer Schlafzimmertür entfernt sein. Es kann notwen-

dig sein, mehr als einen Rauchwarnmelder zu installieren, insbesondere wenn

der Flur mehr als 15 m lang ist.

In einstöckigen Häusern mit zwei getrennten Schlafbereichen sind mindestens

zwei Rauchmelder erforderlich, einer außerhalb jedes Schlafbereichs.

In mehrstöckigen oder geteilten Häusern sollte mindestens ein Rauchwarnmel-

der im Erdgeschoss zwischen dem Treppenhaus und jedem Raum, in dem ein

Feuer ausbrechen könnte, und in jedem Stockwerk in den Bereichen, die Teil des

Fluchtwegs sind (normalerweise Flure und Treppenabsätze), installiert werden.

In den Schlafzimmern sollten zusätzliche Alarme installiert werden, um Brände

zu vermeiden, die durch defekte Leitungen, Lampen, Geräte, Raucher oder an-

dere Gefahren verursacht werden.

Um einen optimalen Schutz zu gewährleisten, sollten Rauchwarnmelder in je-

dem Raum Ihrer Wohnung installiert werden, mit Ausnahme der im Abschnitt

Zu vermeidende Orte” aufgeführten Räume. Wärmemelder sollten in Küchen,

Heizungsräumen, Waschküchen, Garagen und dergleichen verwendet werden,

wo Rauchwarnmelder ungeeignet wären.

Installieren Sie Rauchwarnmelder in Verkehrsbereichen in einem Abstand von

höchstens 7,5 m von der am weitesten entfernten Wand, höchstens 7,5 m von

einer Tür zu einem Raum, in dem ein Feuer entstehen könnte, und höchstens 7,5

m vom nächsten Rauchwarnmelder entfernt.

Da es unmöglich ist, den Brandherd vorherzusagen, ist der beste Standort für

einen Melder in der Regel die Mitte eines Raums oder Flurs. Wenn ein Rauch-

warnmelder an einer Wand angebracht werden muss, sollte das Detektionsele-

ment des Melders immer 15 bis 30 cm unterhalb der Decke und der Boden

des Melders oberhalb von Türen und anderen Öffnungen angebracht werden.

Installieren Sie in Räumen mit einfachen Schräg-, Spitz- oder Giebeldecken

Rauchwarnmelder an der Decke 90 cm vom höchsten Punkt der Decke entfernt.

Introduzione al prodotto

Shelly Plus Smoke (il Dispositivo) è un rilevatore di fumo fotoelettrico intelligen-

te (g.1), ecace nel rilevare fuochi lenti che covano per ore prima di prendere

Caratteristiche

⚠ATTENZIONE! Testare settimanalmente il dispositivo di allarme fumo per

garantire il corretto funzionamento! Il pulsante di controllo testa accuratamen-

Dispositivi di allarme fumo per una protezione limitata

Ulteriori dispositivi di allarme fumo per una migliore copertura

Come minimo, i rilevatori di fumo dovrebbero essere posizionati tra le zone

notte e potenziali fonti di come soggiorni e cucine ( ).g.2

nelle case a un piano con una zona notte, dovrebbe essere installato un rileva-

tore di fumo nel corridoio, il più vicino possibile all'abitazione.

Per garantire l'udibilità nelle camere da letto, nessun dispositivo di allarme

fumo deve trovarsi a una distanza superiore a 3 m / 10 piedi da qualsiasi porta

della camera da letto. Potrebbe essere necessario installare più di un rilevatore

di fumo, in particolare il corridoio è lungo più di 15 m / 49 piedi.

Nelle case a un piano con due zone notte separate, sono richiesti almeno due

Per una protezione ottimale, i rilevatori di fumo devono essere installati in ogni

stanza della casa, ad eccezione di quelli elencati nella sezione Luoghi da evita-

re. Gli allarmi termici dovrebbero essere utilizzati in cucine, locali caldaia, lavan-

derie, garage e simili, dove i dispositivi di allarme fumo non sarebbero adatti.

Installare dispositivi di allarme fumo nelle aree di circolazione a una distanza

non superiore a 7,5 m / 25 ft dalla parete più lontana, non superiore a 7,5 m / 25

ft da una porta a qualsiasi stanza in cui potrebbe svilupparsi un incendio e non

superiore a 7,5 m / 25 piedi dal prossimo dispositivo di allarme fumo.

Poiché è impossibile prevedere l'origine di un incendio, la posizione migliore per

Press and hold the control button for about 3 seconds. Conrm that the LED

indication ashes rapidly, and the buzzer emits short loud beeps.

False alarm control

The Device features a False Alarm Control which, when activated, will silence

unwanted alarms for up to 10 minutes.

Press and release the control button during an unwanted alarm to silence the

alarm buzzer. This will set the Device in False Alarm Control mode.

If the smoke alarm device does not go into False Alarm Control and continues

to sound its loud alarm signal, or if it initially goes into False Alarm Control then

resounds the alarm, the smoke is too heavy and could be a possibly dangerous

situation take emergency action.

Battery replacement

When the battery becomes low, the smoke alarm device will beep once every 53

seconds (low battery warning).

You must replace the battery with a new one immediately to continue your

protection.

Rotate counter clockwise the Device out of the mounting bracket.

Replace the battery with a new one. (g.9)

⚠CAUTION! Replace only with the same or equivalent type! Danger of explosion

if battery is incorrectly placed.

Return the Device onto the mounting bracket.

Testing

This unit has been designed to be as maintenance-free as possible, but there

are a few simple things you must do to keep it working properly:

Test smoke alarm devices weekly and upon returning from vacation or when no

one has been in the household for several days.

⚠CAUTION! The control button accurately tests all functions. Do not use an

open ame to test this smoke alarm device. You may ignite and damage the

smoke alarm device or your home.

⚠CAUTION! Stand at arm’s length from the smoke alarm device when testing.

The alarm buzzer is quite loud and can be harmful to hearing.

Press and hold the control button for 3 second to test the alarm. The alarm

will sound loud short beeps. The alarm may stop sounding once releasing the

control button.

If smoke alarm device does not sound, check whether the alarm is properly

attached to the mounting bracket.

⚠ATTENTION! Replace the Device 10 years after installation or if the test func-

tion does not operate properly!

Cleaning

Clean the Device at least once a month.

Gently clean the outside of the Device with a soft cloth.

Installation

Kontrolle von Fehlalarmen

Wenn der Rauchwarnmelder nicht in die Fehlalarmkontrolle geht und weiterhin

seinen Alarmton ertönen lässt, oder wenn er zunächst in die Fehlalarmkontrolle

geht und dann erneut Alarm schlägt, ist der Rauch zu stark und könnte eine

möglicherweise gefährliche Situation darstellen, ergreifen Sie Sofortmaßnah-

men.

Austausch der Batterie

Wenn die Batterie schwach wird, gibt der Rauchwarnmelder alle 53 Sekunden

einen Piepton ab (Warnung bei schwacher Batterie).

Sie müssen die Batterie sofort durch eine neue ersetzen, um Ihren Schutz auf-

rechtzuerhalten.

Drehen Sie das Gerät gegen den Uhrzeigersinn aus der Halterung.

Ersetzen Sie die Batterie durch eine neue. (Abb.9)

⚠ACHTUNG! Nur durch denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Typ ersetzen! Es

besteht Explosionsgefahr, wenn die Batterie falsch eingesetzt ist.

Setzen Sie das Gerät wieder auf die Montagehalterung.

Prüfung

Dieses Gerät wurde so konzipiert, dass es so wartungsfrei wie möglich ist, aber

es gibt ein paar einfache Dinge, die Sie tun müssen, damit es richtig funktio-

niert:

Testen Sie Rauchwarnmelder wöchentlich und nach der Rückkehr aus dem

Urlaub oder wenn mehrere Tage lang niemand im Haushalt war.

Halten Sie die Bedientaste (B) länger als 1 Sekunde gedrückt, um den Alarm zu

Tenere premuto il pulsante di controllo per circa 3 secondi. Vericare che l'in-

dicazione LED lampeggi rapidamente e che il cicalino emetta brevi bip forti.

Controllo dei falsi allarmi

Il dispositivo è dotato di un controllo dei falsi allarmi che, se attivato, gli allarmi

indesiderati verranno silenziati per un massimo di 10 minuti.

Premere e rilasciare il pulsante di controllo durante un allarme indesiderato

per silenziare il cicalino di allarme. Questo imposterà il dispositivo nel nodo di

controllo dei falsi allarmi.

Se il dispositivo di allarme fumo non entra in Controllo Falsi Allarmi e continua

a emettere il suo forte segnale di allarme, o se inizialmente entra in Control-

lo Falsi Allarmi e poi riproduce l'allarme, il fumo è troppo pesante e potrebbe

essere una situazione potenzialmente pericolosa, intraprendere un'azione di

emergenza .

Sostituzione della batteria

Quando la batteria si scarica, il rilevatore di fumo emette un segnale acustico

ogni 53 secondi (avviso di batteria scarica).

È necessario sostituire immediatamente la batteria con una nuova per conti-

nuare la protezione.

Test

Questa unità è stata progettata per essere il più esente da manutenzione possi-

bile, ma ci sono alcune semplici cose che devi fare per mantenerla funzionante

correttamente:

Testare i rilevatori di fumo settimanalmente e al ritorno dalle vacanze o quando

nessuno è stato in casa per diversi giorni.

Non utilizzare una amma libera per testare questo dispositivo di allarme fumo.

Potresti incendiarti e danneggiare il rilevatore di fumo o la tua casa.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Stare a distanza di un braccio dal dispositivo di allarme fumo

durante il test. Il cicalino di allarme è rumoroso per avvisare l'utente di un'emer-

genza e può essere dannoso per l'udito.

Tenere premuto il pulsante di controllo per più di 1 secondo per testare l'allar-

me. L'allarme emetterà forti brevi segnali acustici. L'allarme potrebbe smettere

di suonare una volta rilasciato il pulsante di controllo.

Se il dispositivo di allarme fumo non suona, controllare se l'allarme è ssato

correttamente alla staffa di montaggio.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Sostituire il dispositivo 10 anni dopo l'installazione o se la

funzione di test non funziona correttamente!

Pulizia

Pulisci il dispositivo almeno una volta al mese.

Pulisci delicatamente l'esterno del dispositivo con un panno morbido.

⚠ATTENZIONE! Non utilizzare detergenti aggressivi!

⚠ATTENZIONE! Non immergere il dispositivo o lavarlo sotto l'acqua corrente!

⚠ATTENZIONE! Se il dispositivo viene contaminato da sporcizia eccessiva,

polvere e/o sporcizia e non può essere pulito per evitare allarmi indesiderati,

sostituire immediatamente l'unità.

intempestive ! Votre foyer ne va plus être protégé. Ouvrez vos fenêtres ou éva-

cuez l'air autour du détecteur de fumée pour faire cesser l'alarme.

⚠ATTENTION ! Testez le détecteur de fumée chaque semaine pour garantir

son bon fonctionnement ! Le bouton de commande teste avec précision toutes

les fonctions du détecteur de fumée. N'utilisez pas d'autre méthode de test !

⚠ATTENTION ! Ce détecteur de fumée n'est pas destiné à être utilisé comme

protection primaire dans les bâtiments (tels que les hôtels, les motels, les inter-

nats, les hôpitaux, les maisons de retraite et les foyers collectifs) nécessitant

des systèmes d'alarme incendie complets. C'est également le cas lorsqu'il s'agit

d'anciennes maisons. Ce détecteur de fumée peut toutefois être utilisé comme

protection supplémentaire dans certaines pièces.

tallez et maintenez le bon fonctionnement de détecteurs de fumée spéciques.

Les résidents doivent être en mesure d'entendre le signal sonore de l'alarme et

d'y réagir en conséquence an de réduire le risque de dommages, de blessures

ou de décès par incendie. Si un résident est malentendant, installez des détec-

teurs de fumée spéciques avec lumière ou vibration pour alerter les occupants.

⚠ATTENTION ! Les détecteurs de fumée ne peuvent déclencher leurs alarmes

que lorsqu'ils détectent de la fumée. Ils détectent les particules nes dans l'air

mais pas la chaleur, les ammes ou les gaz. Ce dispositif est conçu pour avertir

d'un incendie en cours grâce à un signal sonore. Cependant, de nombreux in-

cendies se développent rapidement, sont d'origine explosive ou intentionnelle.

D'autres sont causés par négligence. Il se peut que la fumée n'atteigne pas le

détecteur de fumée assez rapidement pour garantir une évacuation sûre.

⚠ATTENTION ! Les détecteurs de fumée ont des limites. Ce détecteur de fu-

mée n'est pas infaillible et n'est pas garanti pour protéger votre vie ou vos biens
